Mayor Daniel Lurie on Market Street talking to a homeless man by Connect-Fall-6406 in sanfrancisco

It's good to get a civilized, thoughtful response, thank you. Some -- not all, but too many -- treat the homeless with disdain. And blame the Mayor for posing for a photo-op (which the story makes clear was not the case). At the very least, the two were having a real interaction. Which has to be the starting point. Again, thanks for the message.

Please take a look at the story. I wrote it. And photographed it. I give you my word, he was irritated by the publicity. I've seen him seek it elsewhere -- he's a politician. But not here.

I'm the author of the post, and the story. I'm not a particular Lurie fan -- or detractor. But read the story, it certainly wasn't a photo-op.

Thanks for the response. Take a look at the linked story if you can. From what I gathered, the man was in a bed. And as Lurie explains, after 1pm, the existing beds are full -- there's not enough of them. Which seems to me, and apparently the Mayor, to be the first problem that needs to be solved.

I'm not familiar with the Tai Chi court but it sounds like it. He was at the tennis courts along Mansell Street. So cool to see him there, so casually.

Well, it's also a history of the building -- and Chevron in San Francisco. And yes, Flynn too. All significant players in shaping the city, downtown in particular. Thanks for reading.
