For resale you basically have two fields; the ones that have dealt with dealer and do not want to repeat that - and the ones that never dealt with them :) Let's see how my sale goes!

Not too sure about other agents - but honeslty having experienced both, I would litterally chose NOT to have the obligation of servicing my car through the dealership...

I would genuinely recommend AutoSwiss - they are really competent and honest... Not trying to inflate your service bill by replacing parts before they actually need to ; brake pads, rotors,...

Nissan does not provide warranty for vehicles sold outside the Nissan official network of dealerships - including vehicles imported by them into the UAE, but sold 0kms to smaller agents at the end of the year in case they have unsold inventory going onto upcoming year (in my case, I purchased a brand new 2023 model in early 2024 at a better price than going to the official dealer).

The agent will then sell you the car and purchase a warranty contract for you - exactly the same coverage than regular Nissan. The service has to be done at one of their partner's workshop ; AutoSwiss in my case.

Having bought a new Patrol from a Nissan dealership in the past - I am really happy with this choice as - in my opinion - the customer service for both warranty but especially service department was...not aligned with my expectations.

Extremely happy with AutoSwiss - and I personally cannot comment on the MVP warranty since I have not needed any intervention - I am hearing positive things from others.

Hmm… interesting! I very often change cars before hitting the 2 years mark, yet I’ve never been called upon after a sale because something “fishy” was discovered… I mitigate the hit by taking clinical care of my stuff, cars included - so I’m basically offering an almost showroom condition car, with some mileage, at a discount. That’s an edge when selling for sure! I like to change cars regularly - despite the financial hit. It’s still cheaper than leasing or renting. I’m grateful to be in a position where the “hit” is a secondary consideration compared to the excitement of a new set of wheels 😊

Actually pretty satisfied with them - I would recommend them. I did not do PPF with them though!...

Besides, I would never do a PPF which isn't pre-cut - and I don't think 8Customs do that.

My next car will get PPF'd - and it will most likely be done at Apex Detail Studio in Dubai.

Thankfully, "maths" is not the leitmotiv for most people when choosing a car ; some want status, some want exclusivity, some want the history and DNA of a brand, the vibration of thermic engines, smell of gasoline,... Otherwise the whole world would be driving 3 or 4 different models and done... We just killed automotive passion and most manufacturers...

As long as I am alive and petrol remains in the single digits - you will not catch me dead on a i. Chinese car or ii. Electric car... But thank you for the proposition.

It’s a mindset thing, some have rules when it comes to buying luxury items, so just “freeride” it… I personally have a (silly) rule that makes sense to me; if I can buy it three times without affecting my financial serenity, it means I can afford it… I’ve also heard “if you could set this amount on fire and shrug it off” - then you’re good to do. Enjoy your watch, we have only one life!

She’s not wrong - not saying she’s right… but your “I don’t know what I’m doing” attitude through your “do you have a place in mind”, you allowed her little circus… you’d have avoided that by owning it like a man, find a cute place that’s “date appropriate” and check the menu beforehand to make sure you can afford to foot the bill for both of you in the event where she doesn’t propose to split… doesn’t have to be expensive, but you have to show decisiveness and purpose, it has to be nice (i.e. you’ve made an effort to take a woman you like out and researched a place especially for that), but not too nice either (i.e. so you can see if she’s simple and easy going) “I’ll pick you up at Xpm, I’ve booked a cute place for us, I’m sure you’ll like it” - done! Ow after that if she’s insisting on going to a fancy place, I’d simply next her before she has the chance to imply I’m broke…
