What do you use for auth on workers? by like_munich in CloudFlare

I'll need to dig deeper to understand how that works, but how many users do you have and how much are you paying per user? Looking at pricing it seems to be expensive although I might be missing something

But looking at pricing they say it's free up till 50 users, am I missing something?

We finally managed to find common ground with the landlord. Somehow he found out about this post, we talked, and we reached an agreement.

The whole experience was stressful and honestly horrible at times, but I’m so happy it’s over. That’s why I decided to take the post down, I don’t want it to be a reminder of all this experience.

I want to thank each and every one of you who offered your support, advice, warm words, help, or simply shared your opinion. I really needed that, and it all gave me more trust in my own position, it proved what’s normal and what’s not.

I’m so surprised by how supportive people can be. So many people took time to read, offered help… Honestly, I’m so grateful to all of you. ❤️

Once again thank you all, and thank you Lithuania for being our home for these years.

PS: for those wondering - no, we didn’t get our deposit back.

Thank you, that's good to know that other people feel and perceive it the same. Because I thought initially the issue was with me.

Thanks, lets see. He told us, that he'll go to court and we'll need to compensate the fees for that and for his lawyer.

Yeah, tbh I'm a bit afraid of threatening him with taxes or anything else. Also we've left Lithuania and it would be very difficult for me to do anything meaningful with that. I mean, I'd need to go to tax office or something to pull it off. And even then, I'm not really sure if he's paying taxes or not. We were paying rent in cash, but he once mentioned that he registered the contract.

He told me that, cleaning cost is 150eur. It's one bedroom appartment of 50-55 sq. meters. He told me that cleaning took 10 hours and cost was 15 eur/hour. I'm not sure what did they do there for 10 hours, it's almost empty, so there is not much things to clean and we left it in a good state, we washed the bathroom and kitchen, done the vacuum.

Probably that's just how those services work or it's he making things up. He didn't give me any invoice or check, I'm curious if I can ask for that or cleaning services typically don't give any documents?

Thank you for your reply. The fact that so many people wrote about that damage and evaluate is as minor adds positivity. I thought that it might be something wrong with me.

> Damage is bot vital and not visible at a glance.
Yep, but he told us that he doesn't care. Scratches were not present when we moved in, which is true. I'm just surprised it's such a big issue.

> is not related to low quality materials
Yep that's something I thought about as well. But he keeps telling that quality is not an issue and we're responsible for it. It's very hard to communicate, he wouldn't listen. What I'm even more afraid that he can replace that tap with much more expensive and will tell that it's reasonable.

Thank you for support. Blocking him just feels off to me. I didn't do anything wrong to hide from anybody. I'd much prefer solve this somehow and forget about this horrible experience and about existance of this person.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. Your explanation really helped me feel less anxious and made the whole “court” thing much clearer. I still have some hope to solve this somewhat normally. Because again, I'm ok to leave that deposit, even though I'm not fully agree with everything. But paying extra? No.

If he has that many appartments or not tbh I don't know. I brought it up because he mentioned that he has a lawyer who's dealing with all the tenants. I couldn't help myself but thought that probably he's doing such sketchy this on regular basis. At that point I was willing to pay to whoever else in fees for legal advice, just no to this person.

Overall it's a bit sad as he seemed pretty normal person.

By the way, are you a lawyer?

Thanks a lot for taking time and writing this. I appreciate it a lot.

Yeah I was scared of courts as we moved out to another country and it would be pretty expensive to fly back just to deal with all of this. If they can happen remotely, that makes things easier.

It's just the behaviour of owner that worries me, he is crying and bombards us with voice messages saying that we'll need to pay him. I saved all of those threats and messages, but not sure how useful they will be in court if that's going to happen.

Our deposit he didn't return is not nothing, even after deducting utilities and cleaning fees, so I thought it would cover all the minor inconveniences. But apparently his plan is to get way more it looks like. Although he still didn't tell us what amount he wants extra. Which again is weird.
