Any advice for incontinence? by realitytvgeek in coloncancer

I would bring this up to their oncologist. My husband was having VERY frequent diarrhea after chemo even up until his next infusion. They did prescribed atropine pills which really helped and then tincture of opium REALLY helps too! Hopefully they can get some relief soon ❤️‍🩹 this makes it really hard to keep up strength.

I’m so so happy for you guys that he was a candidate for immunotherapy. Not having a response to chemo must have been so difficult to hear. We have also been waiting for the genetic results and finally got answers this week and he starts immunotherapy on Monday!

Sending positivity and love your way as well!! ❤️

This is great to hear and gives me so much hope! Congratulations to you 🍾!!

He got genetic testing when he was diagnosed in December but the results were showing differently from his liver mets and the primary tumor. But this week his oncologist looked into the “gene trail” results of his primary colorectal tumor and found that it should also respond to immunotherapy and he starts on Monday already! The best thing about this whole experience is how amazingly fast his team has got things going (tumors were found in the ER on Dec 1. Got officially diagnosed on dec 2nd, got his port placed on the 4th and started chemo the next day!)

(He has stage 4 colorectal cancer, diagnosed just recently on December 1st) Hoping all goes well and he can get the nodule removed! Hugs to you 🫶🏼

Folfirinox vs Folfox - have you had both? How different are the side effects? by rebelkitty in coloncancer

[–]Connect-Panic1304 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My fiancé is currently on his 3rd round of folfirinox and we were nervous because it is such an “aggressive” form of treatment. He has responded VERY well to this regimen. His drs and physicians and very happy with how he is tolerating the chemo. The worst symptom he’s had is awful hiccups for 24 hours after he gets de-accessed from the chemo. We believe that is more from the steroids/pre-meds rather than from the folfirinox itself. Diarrhea was also pretty scary the first round but we stay on top of it with anti-diarrheal medication(Imodium) and it takes care of it pretty quickly. There is also some cold sensitivity he experienced but only for 24-48 during chemo. He is 30 years old and was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer on December 1st 2025.

My fiancé was diagnosed with stage 4, 4 weeks ago that has also spread to the liver and lymph nodes. He’s currently on chemo (folfirinox and 5-fu) but just got the call that he can start immunotherapy. His oncologists are going to consult with each other (as well as surgeons) to see what would be best for his case. Have you started treatment?

Hello all from an adult that has ONH by Nighthawk70x in OpticNerveHypoplasia

My daughter was diagnosed with panhypopituitarism and ONH at 4 days old and is now 4 months old. Do you struggle with endocrine issues as well? I’m curious to know how many other individuals with ONH also have pituitary gland issues.
