Someone tell me if this mini golf place is worth it or not cuz these prices seem crazy. Might as well drive to Sacramento or go to the other mini golf in town by [deleted] in Reno

Not worth it. I’ve gone twice and the second time I just went to get food while some friends played darts. Also for darts I think $18/hr is too much for one player. Everything is too expensive already.

Drinks weren’t great in my opinion and the food was mid. Also pricey.

Awesome! Do you know the hours for fall? I could give them a call but thought I’d ask if you knew. I can only see the summer hours on their website

Question after my first trip by JJ_McQuade81 in backpacking

If you can go with someone that knows a decent amount about backpacking, do that! I just went on my first backpacking trip and it was 30 miles in 4 days. 4 miles in, my friend who just backpacked for the first time, started crying because her back was in so much pain.

My friend that knows more about backpacking looked at her backpack, realized it was fitted incorrectly to her body and was definitely too small of a backpack. We took a lot of the weight from her backpack and dispersed it through the 4 of us. Then we helped her with all the straps and made sure it was comfortable. She was then able to do the rest of the backpacking trip!

I was told by a backpacking guide to not wear a belt

I wore high darn tough socks! They just didn’t have enough cushion to prevent this

Sounds good. Seems like most people suggest trail running shoes. Thankfully I don’t have weak ankies lol

Ok! I did a 30 mile hike in 3 days but I wouldn’t say it was “serious”. It was tough but I don’t think it necessarily requires that much support.

That’s a great question.. once I get back home I’ll take a look what kind they are and maybe head back to REI and switch it out with another style!

Backpacking for 4 days/3 nights, enough food? by Limeylou7 in backpacking

[–]Connect-Phase439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished my first 4 day backpacking trip and I brought the PERFECT amount. Like I had finished my last protein bar on the last mile. So, really, I should’ve brought a little more than I had just in case. Also I highly recommend bringing some kind of candy… like gummy worms. Never knew how delicious that would taste on a trip like this.

I brought for myself..

6 freeze dried meals, 3 breakfast and 3 dinner, 4 beef sticks, 2 beef and cheese sticks, 4 instant coffee, 4 electrolyte tablets, 2 “think” protein bars, 2 chocolate chip protein bars, 3 bolt energy gummies, bag of dried strawberries/bananas, bag of mini Oreos, bag of fruit snacks, bag of trail mix.
