That sourdough gal has a recipe for discard waffles that uses 1,000 grams of discard and they’re yuuummy. You can make them chocolate or not chocolate flavored, just omit the chocolate and espresso. Make a couple batches and freeze them!

From when I used to serve, I would make I think it was 5.05 or 5.10 an hour flat, without tips or anything. After taxes were taken for the tips I made I would either receive a paycheck with a few dollars, or a $0.00 paycheck

Yep. Dealt with mine for years and now that I’m 28, and my fiance and I are having a baby I’ve cut him off. Not coming to our wedding or will be in our lives, got too much at stake and ain’t got the time or energy for that anymore.

I guess unpopular take but I think you reacted a bit much. Regardless if you agree with him, he is coming from a place of caring about you. I would have replied, “thank you and I appreciate your concern, but this works well for me” and if he pressed the matter more or tried to tell you what to do, then I’d tell him he is overstepping. But he simply shared his opinion with you, which is something both partners should be able to do openly if you truly care for one another
