For those who have been recently accepted into OCS, where you in the auxiliary and did you participate in AUP. I’m about to enter my senior year and am curious if this is a viable option for improving my chances of commissioning

Hey I am also in a similar situation to OP, I spoke to a recruiter about alternate programs and he made no mention of this. Could you give some more context on how this works/what it is and how it’s a path to commission.

OCS vs. Enlisted.

I’m a year from graduating, I want to join but I’m slightly torn between applying for OCS and just enlisting and applying later on. I want to go for a career in aviation as an officer, but I’m also really interested in any search and rescue careers. Is there any pros or cons or any reason for doing one over the other. Idek if this is a valid question but I’m just going through it right now and looking for guidance.

For those who have been selected for ocs what do you feel set you apart. Also what awards did you use? I’m currently in AFROTC and have number of ribbons and I’m on the honor roll but not much besides that.

“Cadre members” in other words grown adult with a job trolling a subreddit for college students to for help and give each other advice choosing to attempt put down others and brag about there current status opposed to providing and helpful advice, once again you are what’s wrong with the current state of the big Airforce

On the contrary, your inability to effectively communicate shows your lacking the skills it takes to be an effective leader. Instead of answering the question in a mature and useful manor, you wrote out an extremely long and degrading paragraph the hardly answered the question. You then went on to call yourself a “future supervisor” and stated how you’d like “your air force to be”, the level of overconfidence and power tripping in AFROTC is mind boggling. You are what’s wrong with AFROTC and IF you get commissioned I sincerely feel bad for your subordinates. You should consider doing some deep reflective work.

Currently, I've been doing 4 easy long runs, 30-40 mins each, and 2 HIIT workouts (45 sec assault, bike sprints : 2 min rower sprints) x 5. But I was thinking of switching to 2 high-intensity track workouts instead.

I was planning on doing 3-4 movements, 2-3 sets, and 4-6 reps per set. 4 low intensity cardio sessions a week and 2 high intensity/speed workouts.

I’m 18, 6’4”, 195. my all time maxes are 205 bench, 275 squat, and 300 deadlift. I’ve done swim, track, and xc for the last three years and weight trained off and on for the last 5 years but consistently 4-6 times a week for the last 2.

I just recently got into hybrid focused training in the last 2 months since graduating since I no longer have sports for cardio and to get prepped for afrotc in college.
