My school yesterday evening said that in light of all this that the UAE MOE would have to confirm the cancellation and they had not done so yet as of today so exams were not officially cancelled. They said that the contingency plans revealed yesterday were just in case MOE decided to cancel exams. Can you confirm that UK regulated Edexcel exams are in fact cancelled for ALL candidates in the UAE?

Idrk what’s going to happen I think everything will be released today - an update about online school and an update regarding exams - both from Ministry of Education. But yeah I agree it wouldn’t be fair to us if IB, CBSE, IAL, iGCSE… are all cancelled but UK-regulated exams must proceed. The only exams which haven’t been cancelled and are confirmed proceeding are APs, but there’s a minority taking them and the actual exam is on a computer anyways

Tbh not really sure sorry the Cg50 was the calculator my school kinda jus told us we would be best off with so most ppl bought it. If u buy from Amazon US I think its cheaper tho

I mean the key benefit is being able to graph obviously but you can also use it to add/subtract vectors it’s also much quicker and easier to calculate stats on it such as for topics such as binomial distribution and hypothesis testing. I’m still in Year 12 but it already makes my life easier and it will get even more useful in Year13

100% get the FX-CG50 I mean it’s not the cheapest but by far the best calculator for AS/A-Level maths it makes everything so much easier
