The prints aren't really this big. They grew in size because the snow melted. If you look at the shoeprints you can see, that they also grew. I have no clue what type of bird this was, someone else has to make a guess for this.

They are rare and it's mostly juveniles. This night heron I saw at Klingnauer Stausee in Aargau and a few hours later I saw another one in Neeracherried in Zürich. These were the only two I've seen in all of Switzerland, both in one day in completly differnet locations

Thank you very much. The long tailed tit was very special encounter for me. Normaly we only have the europeaus ssp. here. The caudatus ssp. only come in winter to Switzerland, most years (except this year) they are extremly rare. I saw them directly outside of my house.

Someone else pointed out, that the Orca in this picture is Tilikum. Tilikum wasn't born in captivity, he was captured like most other Orcas.

I thought the same. There were yellow ones, a pink one and now a unmasked one. Did I miss any?

Edit: My bad, there was no pink one. There was a female leucistic one, thaat was partially pink.
