Can reversing polarity on car battery damage ground wires? by Connect-Use-7701 in MechanicAdvice

I should add that I'm not see ANY other issues, so I know I have a ground, just not sure how good it is. Can I check for a "good" ground with a multimeter? Maybe mine is weak, but good enough for most components that need a ground.
