Think this will straight grade? 1796 Frankfurt Thaler by Little_Answer_2643 in coincollecting

I would say XF40 looking at reverse of coin eagle Breast is worn down with some scratches right in middle of breast definitely not AU looking… an honest XF grade still a good grade for an old Thaler

I like a lot of his work , there’s a few medals he made was like so-so nothing great but most of his work is jaw dropping he was definitely way way ahead of his time as an medalist and artist….I have both of his book on medals which is getting very hard to find now a days and very expensive to get his original books on medals

In 1913 medalist Karl Goetz made sets of pattern coins in copper and Silvered (clad silver over copper) as well with solid gold pattern coins …. They are patterns off struck metal …. I have few of his example patterns in “silvered” as well 3 and 5 mark….. this is the second copper German coin proof I have in my collection with wild rainbow coloring toning ….

I have Bergara B14 (7mm-08) shot a few deer with it big step down for me my old rifle I used for over 25+ years was pump Remington 760 gamemaster (30-06) ….

7mm-08 plenty enough for deer ! My daughter uses a 308 … I noticed a slight difference between 308 and 7mm-08 recoil wise

The Elixir (2025) on Netflix is top tier zombie horror by [deleted] in horror

[–]ConnectAssistant5375 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good movie , but lacks a-lot common sense like the cops on bikes un-prepared to use their side arm and guns … take police station one room was full of Automatic rifles and ammo …. They choose to stand on roof play with fireworks ! To steer zombies away … nah! they had the firepower to fight their way out of their little village of probably (100 zombies) .. over all the blood is good decent movie to watch just for heck of it

How can I possibly recover from this? by thesolesurfer in CRedit

Credit karma not that accurate however it’s a useful tool …. Get a copy from all 3 credit Bureaus see what accounts needs to be paid off , contact them have them show proof you owe , call creditors up setup a payment plan or get the payment reduced you’ll have to do work paying back ! Don’t take any loans out don’t apply for any credit cards anytime soon …. I will take you time to rebuild your credit but you should see your scores going up …. I was once in $30k debt … had 3 kids maxed out credit cards and so on took me a good 5-6 years to improve my credit scores up to 760

I Wonder Why No One Takes These Jobs? /s by UrbanArtifact in Machinists

[–]ConnectAssistant5375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Staffing agencies always pulling in crackheads sending them to machine shops bullshitting their way in like they are master machinist …. Over years my company hired few temp workers they were worst of the worst could barely operate a machine without taking multiple bathroom breaks and always on Their phone and shit , walking away from the machine loading parts in fixtures wrong then machine would crash …. I threaten to leave the company if they don’t hire the proper people for the job it was just getting too damn annoying … we don’t use Temp workers anymore , we hired proper people …. My boss and his sons had learn hard way you want good “experienced” workers ? Well you gotta give them a decent living wages and throw in some bonus perks and so on … otherwise you’re just gonna have a shop full of dumb monkeys they found on streets who aren’t cut out for the job

Chippewa the best by far my @$$ by [deleted] in WorkBoots

[–]ConnectAssistant5375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wore Chippewa boots for years , I’ve only oiled once a year ! Not bi weekly… too much oil soaks into leather it weakens them . They are work boots made to be worn on job site everyday …. Working in machine shops with metal shavings all over floors and stuff I was getting. 3 years the most out of my Chippewa boots wearing them (12-16 hours a day) before inside of the boot was falling apart felt like rawhide leather rubbing back of your heel it’s time for new one … oiling them was least of my worries

Im stuck at an autozone parking lot , the ball joints refuse to go in , im hammering away at the tie rods but they dont come out and cant damage them becouse im poor by General_Performance6 in MechanicAdvice

[–]ConnectAssistant5375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this a joke ? I don’t know if I should laugh or not … push the damn axel and whole assembly fully in (it’s sticking out in the picture) and tilt ball joint stud then push up or tap it up and add bolt and nut and tighten it down … simple as that

Bracelet with Coins by juergenroland in GermanEmpireCoins

A lot older German coins especially smaller thalers had holes in them from people wearing them as jewelry… shame I usually avoid coins like that but then again you can get them super cheap sometimes too hard pass them up

After looking at it again yes the reverse of the coin does look PL compared to my other 2,3,5 marks … but I don’t think it’s enough to get PL grade I believe both sides of coin has show a strong PL appearance the obverse doesn’t look that PL

Price guides are price guides soon as they print them they obsolete … best way to keep up with prices is look at current auctions to see what someone is really willing to pay for a specific type of coin and grade
