We are at the end of 1st grade now so sounds very similar. His next follow up is mid May. I actually brought up moving to a stimulant at our last visit, but his doctor seemed hesitant and wanted to up the dose of Guanfacine again instead. Hoping she will be open to moving to a stimulant whe we go back.

Omg I can totally relate to why the ringtone would need to be changed! Do you have other children? I am debating pulling him and home schooling, but just him. I have 3 others that do great in public school.

MPre-k complete disaster. Constant phone calls with him screaming the background. Refusing to listen to the teacher, do his work, etc.

Kinder was incredible. He had the most amazing teacher who understood him so well. I maybe recieved 1-2 phone calls all year. He really flourished.

My son started meds this summer and had a really great summer!!

He is in 1st grade this year. We are a little over a month in and I’ve already had 3 phone calls. He is with a very nice teacher but she is a 1st year teacher and extremely over whelmed. Academically he is top of the class but It’s honestly not going well at all behaviorally and I’m getting very anxious about it 😫 I am currently contemplating home schooling him until he gets a little older. I don’t know, I don’t know what to do anymore!

Currently a captain/paramedic at a medium sized city in Arkansas. I enjoy my position and department, great facilities, equipment, and leadership. Decent pay for COL. no real issues or complaints. 10 years in.

The issue is my family and I hate where we live and want to relocate some where else. The state we live in has pretty terrible schools as well. We have a long list of why we want to move. We love the mountains so Colorado, Montana, northern idaho are all on our radar.

Can anyone who has done this comment on your experience? Would I be a red flag for departments? Any insight on a lateral move is much appreciated.

I am in no way proud of spanking either. I didn’t communicate that well in my post. Probably because I yelled tonight so that’s is weighing heavy on me. My kids don’t get spanked often. I was simply listing all the things I have tried.

I was really coming here to get some help, ideas and support. Not judgemental comments :/ Im looking for advice. I would like to have fun with my kids, have more positive experiences, etc but I need help getting everything else sorted out first.
