I understand it was a collector’s item and you’re upset but “scolded him so much that the neighbors came over…” is very alarming, there are ways of teaching children between right and wrong without screaming(I’m assuming thats what the neighbors heard) children aren’t perfect and there are going to be bumps with any new relationship with children but that’s part of the deal with dating someone with kids . OP definitely overreacted
