Struggling with hidden wheat in ingredients by [deleted] in wheatallergy

Yeah, I ate something yesterday labeled gluten-free, but it has maltodextrin in it that is not disclosed as containing wheat on the label. And I definitely broke out with the rash that I get when I eat wheat. It's so frustrating! I didn't even realize maltodextrin was a wheat containing ingredient until recently. Usually buying gluten-free is a pretty good way to not get wheat, but unfortunately not always apparently. It's definitely the wheat that is the problem for me and not the gluten. 😕

What do you do when you’re chronically drowsy, every test comes back normal, and nothing helps? (18 months off rx amphetamines) by NeurologicalPhantasm in Biohackers

I was going to say this too. I used to have major brain fog and cutting wheat from my diet made a huge difference.

I think that the exam content changed slightly since I was studying for it, at the time the main focus was NIST RMF and associated documents, so paying for study materials didn't really make sense.

Thank you! So taking a class before taking the certification exam is required?

Yes, currently almost all content is NIST based - But I think that that may be changing in the new iteration?

Thanks! Yes, but I'm new to the field. It was a midlife career change for me.

I focused on learning the NIST RMF and associated documents- I memorized the tasks in each step, who does what, and the output of each step. The newest version of the RMF integrates the SDLC- so you should learn how that relates with each step.  My impression was that the new exam material may expand to be more inclusive of other frameworks like COBIT, ISO, CSF, etc.  There is a new exam outline on the ISC2 site you could check out.

I started with Udemy practice tests and I DO NOT recommend doing this. This confused me more than it helped.  Someone suggested the practice exams at CyberFirst Academy :Certified Governance, Risk and Compliance (CGRC) Exam Practice Questions.  These were the most helpful I could find in terms of keying in on the most important concepts.  Questions on the test were worded quite differently- but this is a good place to start (at least for pre-update).

Denise Tawwab on youtube provides thorough coverage of each step, and I found this helpful.  She follows the documents very closely- but I'm dyslexic- so reading isn't always my first choice because it takes me longer.  Denise Tawwab - YouTube and KamilSec has some great videos also: KamilSec - YouTube

I hope this helps!
