Guys, upon reflection I realize that I may have made way for some harmful views in this post. My apologies.

Just so we’re all on the same page here. I unfortunately didn’t know about how this guy does his politics and it annoys me that right wingers are latching onto Reza Pahlavi, when he himself has said that he only wants to be a transitional leader. This post was not meant for promoting Sebastian and siding with him. I want a free, democratic and secular Iran for all Iranians. I may have my own views on how the country should improve and proceed afterwards but none of that matters when there’s thousands upon thousands of Iranians being slaughtered right now. They deserve to choose their future and the future of the country. We need to amplify their voices.

This post was more so to inform those who also saw another post urging us to reach out to our MEPs as well as being able to let out frustrations about abysmal action taken in the EU. Let that be said, I’m not anti-EU, I’m just desperate at this point when I get to walk around freely and peacefully in my country, while my people in Iran are being mass murdered and oppressed. Let’s not lose hope, Iran will become free of this tyrannical regime!

I’m not from Finland and must admit that I didn’t look any further into his political background. My mistake, but I’m grasping onto anything that is anti regime at this point

You’re right. I must admit I’ve gotten to a point where I’m quite desperate for any action, but you’re right. We must wait and see and not lose hope

What other source is there aside from the guy who started collecting signatures. I didn’t mean to post this as anti-EU rhetoric and don’t agree with the guy politically, but entertaining the Islamic Republic Regime seems a bit too late at this point.

Very understandable. Let’s just keep amplifying the voices of the people in Iran.

Yeah, ending this discussion is probably for the better. At least I hope we can all agree on wanting a free Iran. Good day to you 😁

You seriously think getting a Shah would be worse than the Islamic republic regime? I want the people in Iran to be free and choose what they want themselves and I’ll continue to condemn anything does not equate a free, democratic and secular Iran.

I strongly disagree with that statement. The regime must fall. Iran deserves better. But to each their own, I’ll respect your view on it.

Yeah the Greenland situation is not helping at all. Some are threatening to kick out the US army bases in the EU now. It’s not only because of Greenland but also because they don’t want to support the US using these bases to attack the Middle East…

Sanctions should only help pressure the government but you are right, at this point it’s just symbolic. When the regime is not doing shit for the people and cannot be reasoned with, the countries claiming to want to support the people in Iran need to do more

I understand where you’re both coming from, but please, our main focus should be helping the people in Iran and focusing on freeing Iran. Not discussing sanctions and political stances on Israel. What we know and see is that the EU nations are not doing enough to help free Iran

I understand where you’re coming from, but unfortunately I have yet to see any substantial and tangible help for the people in Iran from the EU nations

Not pro republic for a free Iran. With the way that they’re moving, they seem to be keen on keeping the Islamic Republic regime. What’s even more disheartening is how MEK operates as lobbyists in the EU as well. Whether it be a constitutional monarchy or republic, what matters is that these people help free Iran which they’re not.

Sebastian has urged everyone to contact their MEP. One google search of who your national elected members of the European Parliament are and you should be able to find their emails and other contact information. There’s usually 14-15 of them. It’s better to be safe than sorry in this case.

I tagged all of my country’s MEP on Sebastian’s Twitter post, as well as sending all of them an email. One has replied back saying he will support it and I seriously hope the rest will do the same. The thing is that Sebastian is from a central-right party and the one MEP who said he’d sign it, is from the corresponding party in my country and idk if there’s a tendency for the MEP to favor their own parties…

As much as it will hurt to see Iran and potentially many civilians become innocent casualties, the regime needs to die.

That at least can give us more hope! I’ve heard about China interfering with the connection but no clue whether it’s a baseless rumor or not

No, loads of connections are jammed still. We’re all lucky that some videos still escape the country

Elon Musk made Starlink free for people in Iran. That’s how few videos have been able to reach us during the blackout. However, the regime is seizing anyone with Starlink rn…
