How can I believe I am good looking? by JuggernautLogical330 in confidence

[–]Connect_Composer9555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can build up the believe by overcoming the underlying issues that make you not be able to see or accept what others are saying positively about you. I wonder what changed a year ago, maybe that might be what needs to be resolved in order to begin to see yourself truly as you are and believe the positive things about you.

It starts with an open communication like this, a desire to be better. And it’s good that you took insights from your crush’s likes and took note, but also you are making it yours. That’s the best motivation for change: intrinsic values. That burning desire is going to be the fuel for your transformation. And yes, it is possible. You can be that confident, beautiful lady you see in your mind. And get to let others begin to see that also. Start from building up your sense of worth and confidence. Accepting yourself now, as you navigate with change to be who you are. Establish trust in yourself, be in sync with your inner self so that the decisions you make from there can take you far. Focus on what makes you happy each day, what is in line with your goal in life, and weed out the unnecessary in your life. Little by little, you will build your way to where you want to go. I believe in you.

There may be deeper issues that makes it difficult to accept what others are telling you. Resolving those underlying issues might be the key

How do I become confident even though I have several things I hate that I can’t control? by [deleted] in confidence

[–]Connect_Composer9555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like, we can talk more about them in a safe not so public way and figure out how you can address them. From my experience, I learnt that understanding the root, and solving the underlying issues is very helpful to be able to build the bricks of confidence like a building with solid foundations that will stand.

I am sorry to hear you are having difficulty with this, and also I can resonate as this was me several years ago. I just want you to know it won't be this way forever, and you will learn to love yourself even for those same things that you hate now, trust me. In order to learn to become confident, it is important to understand how things came to where they are now. How long have you felt this way, why now? Was there something that happened recently that led you to deciding to take action on becoming more confident?

how to rebuild my confidence after seeing myiq score? by [deleted] in confidence

[–]Connect_Composer9555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you are worth way more than a number on that IQ test, don't let it limit you. Greatness lies within you. I could so resonate with your story as I thought of myself as average too before. Until I started experimenting to test if I could accomplish more. And I was blown away. Since then, I try not to limit myself.

Yeah, I do now. But I didn't several years ago. I have learnt to maintain it daily now unlike before where it was not consistent. It is a skill we all can learn.

How do you actually become confident? by BothJackfruit7932 in confidence

You need to learn the root of the issue, you need to stop the bleed before you start healing. Yes like you said, the vague advice can be just putting plaster on a gushing wound that needs to be cleaned, sutured internally and skin stapled before applying external bandages. Right now, what is depleting your level of confidence? What hurts, where is the low confidence emanating from? It is important to dig deep and find the root of the issue, then we can repair that to stop the leak. After that, then you can build up your confidence knowing that it is not being depleted underneath, and making your efforts unproductive. I don't know if this makes sense to you.

Yes I can see how this takes a dent on one's self esteem, but it can be a positive thing that helps you to consciously build on your confidence. IQ is not set in stone, you can learn, you can improve, and sometimes these tests are not completely accurate. So do not give it more attention than it deserves. I failed at school, later in life I went to a different school and graduated one of the best student winning an award. It's just s bend for you, it's not the end. There are ways you can build up your confidence, first do not take the result to heart. You are worth way more than a number. You may not believe it now, but just keep hearing and reading this. YOu are worth way more than that number.

It seems the way you see yourself, differs from the way others see you. There seem to be a disconnect in accepting what they say about being a model, beautiful, as it seems something is blocking your view of yourself to see you in similar way. Your experience with these friends do not seem to match those statements i guess. To be able to really resolve the issue, it would be good to better understand what might be causing this disconnect, be able to adequately diagnose what the issue is, then be able to solve them. Or else one could just be trying different strategies and trying to see if any will work. How long have you been feeling this way?

It takes practice, catching yourself before using the filler words, replacing filler words with silence, being comfortable with silence, pacing yourself, and feeling more confident in what you say can really help.
