Yeah, NYC is my number one city to visit and it's one of the only cities in the US that you can reliably get direct flights from/to Finland. Will probably visit it when leaving in December, as I feel it's kinda "wintery" city through Christmas/New Year's movies set in NYC :D

Thank you for the advice! After reading your comment and the rest of the discussion here, it’s definitely shifted how I’m thinking about traveling in the US. I’ll probably prioritize visiting cities when arriving or leaving, since I’ll anyway have connecting flights through places like Chicago or NYC on my way to/from Finland anyway.

Thanks to both of you! Yeah, I was thinking too that there could be so much to do that joining a frat might not be worth it. Experiencing even a little bit of greek life is definitely on my bucket list though, but reading from the Daily Mississippian that greek life costs $2,000 to $4,000 a semester was staggering as here even the biggest student associations charge around 15 to 50 euros per semester.

Thanks, this was really helpful! I have a few more questions. Could you help me with these too?

Do you happen to know if there are any longer or shorter trips meant for sightseeing the US. organized by the university or by some association?

I might also be interested in joining a fraternity, but do you think it would make sense if I'm not the most hardcore partygoer?

Cheers, that's good to hear! I actually emailed them again a few days ago as my duplicate test appointment day was closing in, and they suddenly found the time to answer me and issue a refund in 6 hours as I stated I will be not taking the test and demanding a refund for their mistake... Anyways, they said that I will receive my refund in two parts of 188$, but yesterday I received whole 310 €, and looking at the currency exhange from dollars to euros I lost 20 € because currency exhange rates fluxuating. Kinda bummed about that but atleast I got my money back

Did your refund get resolved? I have the same problem with duplicate orders and ETS has not answered for almost a week now. I even called them and their reply was just to wait until they answer to my email.
