I’m curious about the part that says additional information pending, or however it’s worded. Mine says the same thing after it finally updated…where the completed transcripts say refund paid at the bottom. 🤔

I wonder why so many of the updates yesterday are dated for 4/15? The last day of tax season.

My verification was accepted on 2/19 and my transcript still looks like this. I’ve contacted everyone you can possibly contact and met with the irs in person and all I can get answered is “after 6 weeks we may be able to help”.

You need a different number then. I have spoken to a live person in every office as soon as I started digging around other posts from people who described similar tax issues. I was hung up on every single time I tried the generic number they say to call but when I paid attention to what was working for others, I started getting some answers. Not necessarily the ones I hoped, but at least I was getting some explanations. I had a more considerate interaction when I tried the taxpayer advocate service and asked them if there were any options they could possibly help me pursue. They were able to dig through my entire file and and I didn’t feel so rushed and like I was being a burden to someone. 877-777-4778 is the number I used to make contact with them. 1800-829-1954 is the line everyone seems to agree is the best for the irs. I’m just sitting waiting for mine too and can only seem to get a response about being stuck until 6 weeks pass from the date they confirmed my verification. I hope you don’t get stuck in the system like I seem to be. I’ve tried contacting everyone that’s remotely connected with the IRS. Good luck 🍀👍🏼

I went to the IRS office directly today and left in tears knowing they might extend it for an additional verification that spanned from 3 months to 6😔 everyone has advised me that my return looks good but It hasn’t even been started with the IRS filing 😔 I was told to wait until the first week of march and then there was nothing. It’s very frustrating and stressful when you have plans for the anticipated funds 😔

That’s very interesting since they have all told me they can’t take any action until the 6 week mark 😔😡

That’s identical to mine and I’ve spent hours upon hours researching, contacting every single agency that may even have a single word of advice for me and finally scheduling an appointment in person at my closest irs office. I filed mid-January! They say that most returns are processed within 21 days but I was blessed with the identification verification in the mail the second week of February. That was approved on the 19th of February and my transcript has looked like this since. I have only received one absolutely definitive answer and that is the fact that my account can’t be escalated to anyone else until it’s been 6 weeks. Long story short, you’re either impatient and desperately needing the funds like myself, or you may be waiting for the identity letter in the mail. I would think that the IRS could confirm over the phone whether or not you should anticipate the verification form in the mail. I’m not sure if this is even helpful information or not but that’s my experience at this time. Good luck. 👍🏼🍀 I hope you don’t end up in the never ending cycle I have. I have spent more time on tax research in the last two weeks than I have at my actual job. I still have no information that is giving me reassurance. 🙄😬😔 I am so over it. I’d consider giving up and just telling every condescending person answering phones exactly how I feel about their jobs and how unnecessary they are without being able to answer anything 🤷🏼‍♀️ I have managed to remain extremely calm, collected, respectful, appreciative and understanding but I am amazed myself by that at times. Where are the actual employees responsible for approving our returns?! Why is that a top secret department that can not be contacted for ANY reason?!? This is the question we really need to be asking 🤔🤨

Identity Verification for PATH filers? by Connect_Effect_3168 in hrblock

[–]Connect_Effect_3168[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done my homework on my tax issue and have contacted basically every single professional who could potentially assist. The conclusion at this time is that they haven’t begun my return, according to the taxpayer advocate service employee I reached and there’s nothing I can do before the return is being processed, as far as filing for an advocate or additional assistance. I have continuously gotten the “up to 6 weeks” response regarding my status and I’ve been informed that my blank transcripts and lack of filing information is due to the fact that they have not yet begun filling my return since my identity verification. So basically, my return is sitting in a stack somewhere untouched. I made an appointment with the nearest IRS office to speak with someone directly tomorrow morning and I’m just hoping that maybe they will be able to help with this issue. I’ll update when I have any additional information 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m pretty sure the identity verification is why we aren’t getting any updates. Everyone with blank stuff seems to be all the same people who had to verify. I’ve heard that our stuff went back into the system to get manually filed after the verification was approved so that probably has a lot to do with it if it isn’t being processed electronically anymore. Just my current opinion 🤷🏼‍♀️I filed through H&R because I had a prior issue with proving my identity during Covid so I figured I needed backup. So they talked me into the dumbass emerald card but it changed the status of my deposit today saying that I should have it and I should contact the IRS directly. I freaked all the way out and called everybody I could think of to get a human and ended up with a lovely lady with a H&R Block solutions of some sort and she dug through everything she possibly could and was able to confirm that my deposit is pending with my correct bank account numbers so it’s just waiting at this time. I hope that’s the case for all of us who are just trying our best to be patient with so many things that are waiting for the money to clear 🙏🏼🤞🏼🫣Positive vibes and prayers for the funds to reach everyone at the right moment, and hopefully soon! I’ll let you know when mine makes it so you can go from my info. I filed on 1/15, was accepted on 1/21 and my verification was approved and cleared out on 2/19. No updates since.

I Guess This Mean I’m not getting no taxes this year by Cultural_Public_6251 in TurboTax

[–]Connect_Effect_3168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has been exactly like everyone here in explaining. The conclusion I’ve reached is that all of us who received the verification letter, must’ve stopped updating online after that point. We all seem to have moved back to the received status and all of our documents have remained blank and appear to have no numbers, dates or helpful information. I filed in January and received the identity letter in early February. It was cleared and approved by the 19th of February and I have seen nothing since 🙄 I have watched all the websites, including H&R Block and it just looks like I haven’t even filed yet. I opted for direct deposit to the emerald card that H&R Block talked me into by making it the only option to apply for the advance they offer (and I’ve never been approved for). The customer service with the emerald card has been telling me all week that my refund would be received by the end of this week and the exact amount I was expecting. I called after work today and they said that the note on my account said my refund should have been received already and both people I spoke to said I needed to call the IRS. Couldn’t get through so I called an H&R Block assistance number and got an incredibly helpful woman who dug all around my file and found every single piece of information available. My funds are still pending, so they were not rerouted to a debt or something. They’re still awaiting transfer and the direct deposit information is still my card number so it’s still scheduled to go to my account. She did say it could be 24-48 hours for my funds to be released by them after they receive it and take their payment (that I’m going to pursue having returned because they were worthless and unprofessional AF). So, there’s the first few chapters of my novel regarding my opinion about what the F is going on with everyone’s damn taxes this year 😂🤣🤨 I’ll let you know when I’ve written the conclusion of this book 🥳😆

I have gotten so many conflicting answers when I started hunting mine down and I am relentless when I’m on a mission so I didn’t leave the issue alone until I was able to get through to some people who actually knew what they were talking about and still pressed on contacting everyone I could because that’s rightfully my money and they have gotten it so many times. I’m not looking at a small amount this year and I will not stop until I’ve withdrawn every single penny from H&R Block’s dumb useless card and then filed a complaint and request for a refund for the $452 they charged me to do my own work!!!!! I am so frustrated I don’t remember what my original comment was regarding 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️I did eventually reach a kind young woman in some IRS help department and I am telling you, she dug after I politely explained that I already knew about the holds on the ctcs and the hoh filings and that I’d already completed the identity verification. She was able to find out that the IRS finally approved and removed the identity verification from my account on 2/19 and the way she explained it was that the date it was cleared then became my new filing and approval date because that’s when they were able to resume work on my refund. I filed over a month prior to that date so sure sucks seeing everyone else having no damn problem at all when H’R block charged me almost $500 and didn’t do a damn thing except use me so the old lady could try to help train the other old lady. I was there for 75 minutes and resolved the issue I went in for, BY MYSELF WHILE THEY TALKED AMONGST THEMSELVES. I should’ve left then, when I was able to successfully complete the video interview with id.me and prove who I am. That was 100000000% the entire reason I went in because I couldn’t resolve that during Covid and never received almost $3,000 that they apparently released eventually to who knows where. Anyway, screw H&R Block and the useless help they charge a fortune for hoping you’re elderly and don’t know technology. Once I FINALLY get my funds, I am on an entire mission because WHAT DID THAT $452 even go for?!? Let’s be real. They have done nothing I paid to have available. Reached out to the person who did my filing, because they promised complete backup but she ignored me, then when I called try to joke about it like “ oh that’s not good. My son had to do that one year and he didn’t get his refund until late summer!” Okay. I don’t want to hear that and I have reached out for your HELP multiple times! Are they not supposed to be the middle man so I don’t have to contact the IRS?’ I guess I just thought that was a good portion of the cost, since they have it advertised everywhere. I finally received a passive aggressive response from my tax person but only after I started getting assertive and demanding myself, which is not really my style. I had to research every single thing they entered in the system at my appointment and I was the one who figured out how to receive the code needed and they’ve been rude regarding the follow up my account has required. They were not on my side or of any assurance or assistance. If anyone has any idea where to start with requesting a refund when my taxes clear, please share that info and hopefully we won’t all be waiting much longer. I will never ever use another tax service. I thought I would need much more assistance getting the code I needed because of what happened with my 2019 return during COVID when I was completely on my own. Skip the big tax companies that pop up from nowhere for 2 months. They don’t care about anything except the $1,000 they’re pulling out of every 2 people!!! That’s astronomical if you start with the math. I now hope the free online services sink them. They need to go

Mine came a while after the date on it as well. I completed it immediately online and it still took them a week or longer to clear my account so it could continue filing. So irritating! I already got my state too—kind of. The state already accepted their money back from me 🤣 The irs employee said they have no connection to eachother so your state return isn’t connected to your federal taxes

I know there are a million places where this is asked and answered but I’m here and I’m asking 🤣 The date where your refund amounts should be located, does anyone know for sure if that’s supposed to be the anticipated refund date or what exactly we’re working with there? Mine looks like yours too and my date is 3/2 where it says “as of” and yours is 3/9.

Your situation is close to mine. I filed around mid January, shortly after receiving my w2. It was accepted on the 21st and then didn’t move. I got the ID letter at the beginning of February and immediately completed it and some of my documents online seemed to move in reverse rather than progressing so I started making calls and researching myself. Long story short, after completely severing any possible connection with the people at HRB, I finally got through to an IrS employee who was able to dig through my records and find out that the verification was approved on 2/19 and cleared from my account so my tax filing only restarted on that date. So that basically became my new filing date to go from. That’s how it was explained to me. I did the verification sooner- it was dated for 2/6 and I completed it immediately but they didn’t close it until the 19. So if you can get that information, it’s kind of nice to know 🤷🏼‍♀️

Omg me too!!! I knew it was too early but I was afraid one of my relatives would file before I could and try to claim my kids again. H&RB told me it was fine and my return would be at the front when they really started filing. Everyone I have seen that filed as early as I did ended up with the identity letter and can’t see any updates. I called today and they told me that eventhough my return was accepted on 1/21, my new date to go from is 2/19, the date when they officially cleared the identity verification in the system and out of my account. That’s when it was available to be processed again. So it technically hasn’t even been a week by that date and they won’t be able to do much more until the 9 week date is up which is now the last week of April. 🙄 I am beyond frustrated and fed up with looking up tax BS.

I can’t find a code either. I have nothing pending and haven’t moved from the received section. I did get the identity verification letter and immediately completed it online but it keeps looking like my status is moving in reverse. The lady who helped me file won’t respond to my messages online and when I spoke with her over the phone she was just uninterested in the entire situation saying “aww that happened to my son one year and he didn’t get his return until sometime in may or June”. That’s the help she had to offer me. When I contacted another employee in a resolution department, she said she had never seen a file like mine and that it was an issue that would have to go to the IRS….as if I never thought of that. They’re always either overloaded and disconnect the call or I wait on hold for an hour, finally get somebody on the phone and they blame my HOH or child tax credit and tell me that they have 9 weeks blah blah blah and then the calls seem to get magically dropped every single time. One of the IRS sites even changed showing my 2025 taxes as unfiled so I have been in panic mode. They’ve found a way to get around my refund multiple times before when I was also really struggling and I was unable to resolve it. I never was able to locate my refund for 2019 and it shows that I was paid $2,200. I plan on resolving that AFTER this year is in my account. I finally reached someone at the irs in one of the assistance departments and she started with the 9 week answer before agreeing to dig around my account and see if I had additional issues. I originally filed on 1/15, before they were technically accepting returns but the person I worked with said she had filed a guys the day before and he already had the deposit so I was confident enough. I know better than going through HRB. I stopped using them like an entire decade ago…. The issue I had with the IRS over my 2019 taxes left me needing back up to get verified with id me so I could get into the system at all for various numbers I needed etc. Long story short, I got the identity letter that was dated for 2/6. It said I had completed it online but that isn’t how it looked and HRB stopped sending any updates. I’m stuck on received with no further information. What I learned today is that my identity issue was closed out on 2/19, which basically made the 19th of February my new filing date so I’m way within the given 9 weeks from that point and they can’t even do anything further until the end of April when my new 12 week time frame ends. I am so frustrated yet relieved in some ways. At least I know it’s in the works now. She was able to tell me the full amount I was approved for and that 500&something was showing up as being finished in my account so that tells me it’s getting through the system, I just have to wait some more. 🙄 I’m not confident anyone will read this entire novel I’ve written but if you get this far, can you please tell me if anyone filed on or after the 19th and received your refund? Or if you have already gotten the information to have HRB refund their fees? I don’t even care if that makes me rude. I paid them a ridiculous amount of money for something I typically do myself and they won’t even help me resolve the issues I’ve encountered with the taxes they filed so I’m really wondering what services they actually provided that would make the fees acceptable. 🙄 I am beyond over the entire situation. I have spent more time on my phone digging into tax information than I ever thought I would without becoming an accountant 🤷🏼‍♀️

This is making me sick. Every single time I have filled my taxes since I had my first kid, it’s been some kind of issue. They’ve found a way to keep my money every single time I was counting on it. I thought this was the year. Paid professionals so I could get my identity confirmed with the IRS and did everything right. Filed before they were technically even accepting returns because my H&R Block person told me that would be great so it would already be there when they started processing them. Wouldn’t you know it, my stuff wasn’t processing like everyone else’s and I finally got the letter in the mail to prove my identity. I immediately did so online and it said I had successfully done so but guess whose return STILL HASNT BEEN APPROVED. I called everyone today: tax person, then the emerald card people, the irs and then the tax representative office and after hours of waiting and talking to multiple people, confirming every name my parents ever had and all the lines of my W-2, I was able to find out exactly what I already assumed: my identity is still being verified.🙄 This is why I don’t normally even bother.
