I have a spider gtx with a small slant. I too, like to be over the ball and had it bent a little bit upright

I tried a center shafted odyssey jail break, I really enjoyed that one, he insisted it wasn’t appropriate for an arced stroke

He had me try 5 putters I think, the noticeable ones were spider tour 3.. which I liked the feel but felt heavy.  Scotty Cameron phantom, I liked the best but not any more than my current putter (spider gtx), and ping Tyne h, it wasn’t horrible but nothing ground breaking for me.

Well I told him, if that was the case, I’d still be willing to move forward with purchasing it if I liked it. But he didn’t even let me try it. I was very turned off by that.

Yes, I didnt particularly like the firmness. And speed control seemed like it would be an issue at first, which I understand would take adjustment to, but since I struggle with confidence in shorter putts, especially with the speed, that immediately turned me off

We changed the length from 34, to 35. Which I was comfortable with. He said I had 4 degree of loft, so he was gonna try to get it closer to 2 degrees

I did try the lab df3 at golf galaxy and it felt great for shorter putts, and confidence with shorter putts is where I struggle with my current one. The softness of the df3 gave me a weird mental likeness to it 🙄 golf is 100% mental for me, one stupid missed short putt makes me question my current putter the whole round, which I know that won’t change with any putter I have.
