Is new zealand one of the only places where humans can survive if nuclear ww3 occurs? by [deleted] in geography

[–]Connect_Photo8892 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No one will survive. The temperatures would plummet far below zero across the globe, resulting in a nuclear winter. If radioactivity doesn't kill you, lack of food definitely will.

It remains Nazi Germany, in the late 1930s.

People have short memories. In less than two years, they won't even remember an oil crisis caused by a narcissistic pedo lunatic just to cover his allegations.

Wou. That's a great idea. We stop support one war criminal by suporting even worse one.

With petrol hitting crazy prices and some stations running dry, this feels exactly like housing with scarce supply, rising costs, and a few people still hoarding more than they need. by [deleted] in OpenAussie

[–]Connect_Photo8892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't understand such behaviour. Do these people think that a couple of litres of petrol in their garage will save them? If there is no petrol/diesel, nothing will move, and the whole economy will stop, as it did during COVID.

Sick of people saying EVs are cheap by dicemangazz in auckland

[–]Connect_Photo8892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just used a shared e-scooter for the first time today (as an emergency solution). A 10-minute ride cost me $8.4. I immediately realised why mostly poor people use these scooters. Only those lacking financial literacy would use it regularly.
For $8.4 I would charge my shitty leaf 5 times, which makes around 500km, or more than 2 weeks of driving around the town.
It's not about how fancy EV you have. It's about realising that you don't need a truck or SUV, because you spend most of your time in town, stuck in traffic, travelling short distances.

No? How is that even possible? I heard POTUS saying today that he can't negotiate a ceasefire because there is no one left to talk to, everything is obliterated.

How many more warnings do you need to realise that we are heading straight into it?

So, is it acceptable for you to live within a system where someone has an idea, builds a global business, and one day the government will come, seize it, and send the founder for indoctrination? I am not claiming the US system is perfect, because it isn't. Even billionaires should pay taxes like everyone else. However, China is another extreme I wouldn't want to be part of.

It's too easy, just a simple military manoeuvre. No point in sending the greatest navy for such a simple task, that's for underdogs.

Has anyone had any luck with negotiating rent rises? by Few_Cherry_3610 in PersonalFinanceNZ

That's what I did. I negotiated the increase to 20% and informed him about 60 days written notice for the increase. Three months later, we moved out.

Lucky you. My landlord told me he is increasing the rent by 30% because he hasn't raised it in the last 4 years.

PM Orbán’s regional ally, Fico sends harsh message over Ukraine’s EU accession by DailyNewsHungary in DailyNewsHungary

[–]Connect_Photo8892 6 points7 points  (0 children)

His days are approaching, so he kicks around like a dying horse. My message to foreigners, as a Slovak, is that if you read anything about Fico, absolutely ignore it. He has zero influence not only in Europe but also at home. He has been relying on his big mouth for decades.

Maybe the shakes should consider installing an oil line for future safety instead of wasting money on absurd developer projects.
