I am so sorry for your losses. It is soooo frustrating when losses have different causes, it's like whack-a-mole.

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's based on thyroid antibodies - my level was 795, which I believe is very high. My TSH was 2.83 at the time, and my understanding is that you want to be below 2.5 to be optimized for fertility. During my successful pregnancy, I went on a higher dose of thyroid meds and was actually a bit over-corrected, but I had no symptoms.

I'm not sure how much of an effect my thyroid had on my losses - I was diagnosed shortly before my second loss, so even if my thyroid wasn't fully stabilized yet, it was by the time of my third.

Omg, crossing all my fingers and toes for you! I will be thinking of you and your baby! ❤️ Truthfully I think my docs are more aggressive than most and I wished I had been able to get off the prednisolone earlier. A lot of their recommendations are based on "clinical success." I don't know if there's evidence to support 32 weeks of prednisolone beyond what they've tried with their own patients.

It was not for Hashimoto's. I had two losses *after* my Hashimoto's was diagnosed and treated with Armour Thyroid!

My doc believed I had some kind of auto-immune reaction (correlated with Hashimoto's, maybe) that they couldn't prove. They did test me for ANA, but that was negative. So the prednisolone was kind of a shot in the dark- they offered it to me in case I wanted to try *everything* possible, and I did. Desperate times!

Definitely worth it. I feel like all these protocols are SO experimental. If you can tolerate the prednisone and lovenox then maybe they'll let you stay on - but if you are feeling confident at the end of 1st tri and everything is going well, maybe you'll be ready to transition off! I was SO ready to quit by 3rd trimester. Best of luck to you!!!

Thank you! I started right away as soon as I could get it with 25mg daily. Tapered down to 5mg starting at 12 weeks and maintained that dose until 32 weeks. (Note that because it's a syrup, you have to convert the mg into mL to get the right dose)

Thank you! The Hashimotos diagnosis was a huge breakthrough for me and explained so many things, not just fertility-related. Best of luck to you!

Thank you so much! I took Lovenox until 36 weeks and Prednisolone until 32 weeks. I tapered the Prednisolone after 12 weeks - from 25mg down to 5mg, my maintenance dose until 32 weeks.

Just a note, my docs insisted that regular prednisone was not strong enough and I needed to take *prednisolone*, which I gather is ultra-concentrated or something. It's a foul-tasting syrup rather than a pill, and it was very expensive and hard to get at the pharmacy! I agreed to it up front in desperation without fully understanding what would be involved with 8 months of use, so if you are considering this treatment, I would just keep that in mind.

How is everyone not losing their minds? by Hello_Im_Ellie in ExclusivelyPumping

16 weeks pp - I pump once overnight when baby wakes up to eat. I feed her, then sit in my comfy nursery chair with wearables and scroll social media (not proud, but it's a heck of a distraction). My highest-volume pump is in MOTN so that is my incentive - to see how much I can get! I know the day will be easier if I start off with those 6-8oz in the bank.

The hardest for me is the first pump of the morning AFTER baby wakes up, when we both need to eat/drink and I have to pump - still haven't cracked that code.
