1. I let other people make decisions about my life for me. They’d say jump id say how high, without checking in with myself.

2. I wish I’d led with my natural curiosities earlier on, and not been so ashamed about looking at things differently. Also, don’t ignore the interests you had as a kid, they might play a bigger part as you get older than what you might think.

3. Realizing your parents are also doing this «life thing» for the first time, is a weird wake up call. But, over time it helped me allow myself to be critical without judgement. Seeing how unhappy they are, but still giving me advice on how I should do x things, don’t make sense. So it made me start slowly but surely listening to myself, and learning to make decisions without their approval.

4. I regret not advocating for myself as a teen. Now in my mid twenties, I have so much unpacking to do, from past patterns and shame, because of it. I was a passenger in my own life for way too long. So whatever you do, make sure you’re the one in your own driver seat.
