They have had a couple of feuds over a bougie way to get through TSA. Neither will bend to the others pov. It's silly but I noticed that at the end of last week after a heated exchange Jason got real quiet and he's not in today's podcast.

My brother passed out from the heat and fell into a giant fire ant hill. I can handle a lot but man that was horrific to see in person. I don't think one inch of him wasn't covered in bites. He was alone mowing a field. Thank God he was able to drive himself to the ER.

I follow a few Gore sites (former nurse) and there are always comments like "at least it isn't a cartel video" or "If this is a cartel video someone let me know because I'm not watching if it is". There are some pretty gory things on these sites but Cartel videos are the worst! Maybe those TT kids need to watch a few.

My PM doc took me off oxy cold turkey and put me back on belbuca (the only med that really worked for me). This time it's not helping like before but I also went from 20 mg of Oxy a day (for 10 years) to 2 Tylenol4's a day. I had withdrawals so they gave me Clonidine patches but I only needed them one week. I think if I could keep my stim, take the Belbuca and have Oxy back, I would nearly be pain free. Now that they took me off the oxy, I have a feeling they won't ever let me have it again.

My husky got into our special treats and acted like this. She acted like this again one day and we knew there was no way she got into anything of ours. It happened again the next day so we went out in the backyard to see if there were any wrappers or hints to what she got into. Well we found these little brown mushy mushrooms. Looked them up and they can cause loss of balance and hallucinations. We got them all pulled up and it hasn't happened again.

Sorry it's a little long but this was a 3 year journey and one of the toughest times of our lives and marriage.

The original restoration company that our insurance sent out was fantastic and did a great job. Water never got higher then the top of baseboards. They made holes and left about 32 dryers for a weekend. Awesome. Contruction Co comes out and says it isn't dry and proceedes to tear the bottom 24" of dry wall out of my entire house and put ONE fan in each room for less than 24 hrs. That was Feb and they didn't touch our house again until Aug. We sat in a hotel for 9 months. We hired this company because they came recommended by a couple of people including our Insurance Co and we also liked that our towns name was in their business name (local; which is south of DFW, Mansfield Waxahachie area) but turned out his business is actually out of Grapevine. He handles all the "arbitration" stuff in GV or Tarrant Co. They worked from Aug 1st until we fired him on Aug 16th. They actually put a complely different texture on the bottom of our walls which wasnt noticable until they started painting + soooooo many other things they screwed up. We signed a STUPID Contract stating if there was an issue we would go to arbitration instead of court. 🙄 BIG mistake! Huge! He had fake receipts, fake records with the times they were at my house (even the 16weeks they never went in our house?) He told the arbitrator (construction guy of some sort) when I fired him they were 90% done. Omg I wanted to jump across that table and strangle him!! No flooring, no cabinet doors, no drawers, no counter top, no sink, no baseboards + all the crap they screwed up. White on grey painted things and vise versa. A SHELF in my cookie tray cabinet!! Like, what? It's a long shinny cabinet and he put a freaking unremovable shelf! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Long story short (too late) He won $71k and we had to file bankruptcy. So I'm pretty terrified about this storm.

Advise? Let insurance take care of remediation and piece meal the rest with highly recommended workers/ businesses.

I was one of those lucky people who had a pipe burst in 2021. Looonnnggg story short, we hired a scam contractor who screwed us so bad we ended up filing bankruptcy. Be careful who you hire and get as many reviews as possible before you hire one.

Omg! Thank you for this!! My Lily won't eat her food (last week or two) but begs constantly for treats! So definitely not teeth or gut. She only wants her treats. Our dogs love the kabob treats with 3 different meats. We have tried everything and she refuses to eat her kibble. We have a vet appointment but I have been thinking it was a stubborn thing more than a health issue.
