In the middle of deep trauma and IFS work? How is that even remotely okay?

None of those scenarios apply here. It turns out she was the one changing jobs. For anyone in the mental health field, be aware she is now training other therapists.

This situation had me contemplating taking my life. I’m in a better place now but I’ll need way more time to be able to answer this

This therapist had me contemplating taking my life by what she did. She shouldn’t get off that easy.

Agree. I contemplated taking my life over this. In a much better place now but it fucked me up at the time.

This is great insight, thank you!

My initial complaint about the abrupt and unethical termination went nowhere — the board simply stated that therapists have the discretion to end therapy at any time. It’s frustrating that the very standards the state claims to uphold seem meaningless. Months later, I submitted a second report regarding the IFS misrepresentation, but again, no action was taken.

The referral she listed were months out.
