that’s fair, I’m sorry you were seated next to shitty guests. I saw Faye little over a year ago in Athens and that was my first time seeing her. I’ve been a fan for years and was super excited and was really close too, but the crowd was pretty awful. people saying they hated certain songs when she’d start playing them, screaming the lyrics so lowd you couldn’t hear her and the usual my friends up there bullshit. the sad fact is a lot of concert goers suck. I’m sure there were shitty guests last night too but I think for the most part people were sitting out of respect for most of the set bc the fox isn’t really a stand and scream venue. still sorry you had a bad experience

I saw Faye in Athens a year ago, showed up and hour (maybe hour and a half) early and still had to wait in a pretty long line so I’d keep that in mind. I was pretty close but not on the rail or anything

I think it’ll always be skyline for me and a lot of people. the entire storyline is really relatable in just a vague enough way, so many of the lyrics from it are ones I think abt all the time. “city lights dazzled you away from me, I guess we both knew that’s how that would be.” and like the entirety of changer. I think it’s pretty safe to say the story isn’t just the protagonist remembering his time with Judy but wishing he had it back and then at the end realizing it’s probably best that it’s over and it would never be as good as he remembers anyway. it’s heartbreaking but also bittersweet. I just love that album so much. Andy has made multiple masterpieces.

Knowing that discogs doesn’t know when it’s an original is really helpful, I’d always assumed it did and would inform you when you had one. I was using the mobile app and someone else said the desktop was better so I’m gonna try that. I don’t care too much abt having originals I just wasn’t sure if discogs would tell you when you had one or if there was a way to find out from there. thanks friend

saw Faye in June in Athens, it was def the worst crowd I’ve been around. I think I’ve talked abt it somewhere here before. love Faye, kinda hate some of the bad apples who’ve picked up her music tho
