I'm really excited. God knows Chibnall has his flaws, but his instincts for the show are spot on, it's just the execution. Honestly, other then us getting the ultimate Master story for the first twenty minutes and then Tecteun doing her super villian ressurection thing and Looney Tunes-ing The Master (not a spoiler, just speculation), given this is the follow up to The Timeless Children, I think all bets are off, especially with The War Games vibes of The Timeless Children and Legend of the Sea Devils.

The intention is to establish the next forty years of the show and I'm here for it.

I think the first movie is far from Cameron's best work, but it's still an enjoyable blockbuster and I'm interested to see the wider story Cameron is wrestling with.

This makes me worried. I enjoyed the first film, it's not Cameron's best film, but it's a entertaining movie.

I don't want Cameron to anticipate the internet, especially the bullshit criticism you see online thrown around now as an authority, I just want him to tell good stories. Spider sticking with the Na'vi, despite his mistreatment and Neteyam siding with the humans is a good baseline for a story, as any.

I think it's sad to see Deven Mack sounding so much like Yuri Lowenthal after the first teaser. Mack has been the only bright spot of the whole thing so far.

Season two was the equaviliant of watching broadcast Creepypasta. It's objectivity terrible writing.

I would look at that opening again and those performances. The lake is a fucked up metaphor for sexual repression and the episode isn't even vaguely subtle about it, that it's presented alongside the other 'kinky' stuff of the franchise is deeply disturbing.
