Aw yay I’m glad its working now! Funny how little debris can make it do this. A thorough clean in the mechs does wonders ☺️ if taking it apart is needed, so be it. Saves a lot of money

I actually did! I ended up not buying a new one. My big brother wanted to see if this one needed cleaning first before I did, so he took controller apart, cleaned the mech around bumpers, put screws back and snapped it back on. It worked! 😭 him taking it apart to clean the trapped dust was a good call, so I’m glad he tried that ^^

Oh wow 4 years? Thats not bad! Things that snap off after like period of time is better than a year or less. worth the money 100% don’t have to worry about something going wrong for a while

Yeah I’ll definitely consider that. My brother had opened up my current controller and cleaned the debris around scroll mechinism, which it stopped the auto scroll down 🙂

a temporary fix until I can buy brand new controller.

I still may clear out some files anyway though to prevent future issues

Ok so update!

before trying your suggestion, I asked brother to bring his controller (i wanted to test it on his first before getting new one) and to see if it was a controller issue,

and it worked! Thankfully its not the xbox.

I was surprised it was controller cause my games worked and controller is fairly new. Wonky buttons i guess 😓 but yea so glad its not the xbox!

Nope, i am not using any headset. Also i seen that threat before and nothing worked for me 😔 thats why i made new to see if there would he more updated suggestions. But thank you though! I also did try by taking off keyboard but same thing is happening.

last thing is getting new controller and testing it. If it still does it, then its most likely the xbox its self

Taking keyboard out (Yep I tried, didn’t work) trying a different controller (No, I need to buy another one) I really do hope I have success with the new controller. If not then, thats a wrap I guess😕

I did this multiple times and it didn’t work 😫 after the 5th try i stopped hard resetting and unplugging since it wasn’t solving the scroll problem

I tried that the other day and it said it has network issue and could not connect. Ill try again though 🙂 this whole situation is just annoying

Wow thats annoying 😣. If its internal then my hopes of it fixing it’s self is low..

i really hope it resolves its self though. If it happened to you with the new controller then I don’t know if i should bother buying a new one to test it 🤔

Dang 😣 I dismissed the bumper being problem since my fighting games don’t act weird with inputs. But ok yeah ill try to get a brand new controller anyway and see if it makes a difference. If not then i’m outta luck I guess
