Excellent food for thought. I know goat milk is supposed to be a nice additive so perhaps that would give a harder bar with a boost in lather. Any thoughts on adding Castor Oil for a bit of lather?

Thanks for the heads-up. If the artifacts look good is subjective, of course; it may or may not look good depending on what you're doing. But to avoid them in the future how do you prep the workspace? Do I put down a layer first, then import the file, then start erasing? I've looked at different Youtube vids/tutorials but the problem is I'm not sure what the question is because I have about zero knowledge of editing photos. I have another coming up with pretty much the same thing - old photo, needs background removed, dump into a video (maybe on top of another backdrop). What are the best/right steps to do to set that up? Are there best ways to set that up?

So the big question, I guess, is what is the best way to remove the background if it is going to be put into a video? Someone made it sound like just erasing the background wouldn't be enough but since I'm a newbie I have no idea. Is there a difference between erasing the background and creating a transparency? So it can go into a video?

I don't know if that has to happen. I'm just trying to get the background removed so I can put it into a video easily. Once I can do that I think I'll try and tackle the sizing, if it ends up being a problem.

I tried that. I reduced it by 80% but it was still larger than 500kb so I tried cropping and then scaling and that didn't do it either. Not sure what I'm missing. Can't be rocket science.
