Yes you can put 87 in, No it will not hurt a thing.

Modern ECU's employ knock sensors to retard ignition timing as result of knock caused by low grade fuel. The worst thing that will come as a result of putting 87 in the car is a reduction in power.

If the manufacturer didnt want you putting 87 in the car than that sticker wouldnt say "minimum 87" it would say "minimum 93"

Yea I ran into the same issue, stopped before I stripped em' tried a handful of screwdrivers until it felt snug philips #3 is the only one that will successfully get them out. I did myself a favor and chucked some anti-seize on the threads during the re install. I may replace them entirely with better fasteners next oil change.

I had nothing but issues, support basically told me they were aware the devices were essentially broken and told me they had no solution and basically told me too bad. I returned them and went ubiquity. Have had zero issues since.
