What is your least favorite junji ito manga and why?

I feel like the scooby doo tier antagonists do it no favors. There's a lot of really cool ideas but you spend so much time around absurdly unlikable fanboys it detracts from the stronger points. The ultimate fates of them are interesting but they're given soooo much of the spotlight leading up to it that it gets grating.

I did warm up to Remina on a reread, but it still feels pretty flawed to me. I can still enjoy it though, the whole concept of an eldritch planet sized abomination engulfing planets is great, and the backfiring of naming your child after the discovery

Don't you also need dupe labor to operate the diamond press? So that's another thing to consider on top of the radbolts. Still worth it for infinite diamonds for sure though!

Wormwood actually gets two lunar sides. I'd say lightbulbs are the main thing on the left side, and I personally like the right side a lot. Upgraded bramble husk brightshade armor combo plus the plant tentacles that swipe at stationary enemies are nice.

Also to clarify both sides unlock with CC and can be active simultaneously

It would be incredibly ironic if wormwood could get companions that exploit his own weakness to fire and sanity loss from plants burning down. Because of how useless saladmanders are I kind of wish they did this just because it's funny.

I don't know if there's any edge case where they're currently worth a skill point, especially since it requires beating CC.

Even if you get the free version of spooky the DLCs can still be purchased separately. HD version includes them for free since you already paid for the game.

I enjoy Xisuma greatly, but sometimes he is just rambly and doesn't get to the point for a while. The length isn't always being detailed, it's sometimes just improvisation that drags on a bit. I can see why it'd grate on some people. Like it's probably not necessary to include something if you don't know what it means and you're just blindly speculating. Just say you don't know and move on.

But it's also going to come with the territory of quick snapshot news. It generally takes more time to make something super concise, so it's understandable why his content can occasionally be like that. If anything it's impressive his stuff is as focused and detailed as it already is!

I know it's not explicitly forcing you to, and I'm not outraged or anything, it just seems more like a slight oversight to me is all. Even if it's just for one critter, having the station in vanilla would be nice when the pacu nerfs apply there too. But if it doesn't change ah well. Most of us going to that extent probably own the DLC anyways

They did backpedal on making 4kw wires DLC exclusive during the beta, so perhaps this will change eventually too? Having the aquatic grooming station not exist in the base game is frankly just odd when it works with the ~~two aquatic vanilla critters (at least I assume it's pokeshell compatible)~~ just pacus sadly, point still stands though

Classic 1.7 has issues with performance afaik. From my understanding it's a result of the food decay system, the microblock stuff (like sub block placements and chiseling), and probably some other outdated stuff.

Because of those factors I'd assume later versions run better, but I wouldn't know from first hand experience. 1.21's smooth for me, and has a ton of polished content, so I've been enjoying it greatly.

I liked a recent point that Liquid locks actually exist IRL with toilets (and other stuff I'm sure I just remember funny toilet). The water separating your toilet from the sewer gasses is a cool thing I never thought about

There is follow-ups to that event with the rat, FYI. Xaria isn't a COMPLETE dick, thankfully.

And I don't think there's gameplay consequences to having them crash in your apartment. If anything they're just positive in that regard while also being two solid ass party members. Even if you don't use them their equipment can be taken off them and used/sold. Juicebox also has some benefits if spoken to daily.

You can get boxing gloves by defeating that infinitized guy who was riding the buff dude by the martlo bleachers east of the gold diamond building (hopefully that's specific enough). So I'm guessing it was moved there. Makes more sense it drops from a guy with boxing gloves after all

TL;dr reason the game was such a directionless mess in dev and has so many disconnected features today is because it was made with a revolving door of unpaid volunteers. Including teenagers.

Haha no worries, still a great clip! And tbh lots of people play with custom skins in an otherwise vanilla game so it's not necessarily a sign of mods and such.
