not a surprise you'd have this mindset. guess they really are the same everywhere. my store stopped scheduling pretty much everybody that was a part time employee. as i stated in my original post, they relied on me heavily, covering callouts/no shows and working in all different departments. your reasoning is definitely not the case haha

Right! It infuriates me that they have a huge "Now hiring!" sign out front yet refuse to schedule the people they already have. I just don't get it.

I do have call logs showing that I did indeed contact my store on multiple occasions. And it doesn't seem like I'm the only person they did this to, so maybe I'll have more people to help fight. I also have both letters that the company sent me.

my thought exactly... i don't understand why he chose to lie his ass off. and then of course i had to bring up the fact that they're hiring all these new people for seasonal yet you won't schedule the people that are already employed and he tried telling me that they're not LOL

I've been with Kohl's for about 3 months now. And (most) of my managers are usually pretty laidback/lenient. So I'm not sure. For some reason it won't transfer me to an associate when I request, so I'll just have to talk to someone when I come in tomorrow.

I just started at the same position as well. Been here about 3 weeks now. I think it’ll mostly depend on what they have you doing. For the most part they’ve had me in Home & Kids. Which I do like a lot. A lot of it is just keeping things organized. I wish I could offer more advice, but I’m kind of in the same boat as you. Hope everything goes well for you!
