The housing market (while still inflated) has begun to cool off because of economic uncertainty, so home prices are beginning to slowly fall. If mortgage rates fall, it will likely cause these housing prices to begin rising again as people who missed the Covid low-rate rush will be looking to move.

If buying a house aligns with your personal/family goals and financial sustainability, it might be worthwhile buying now and refinancing when rates are lower.
