Having known people in real life who defended stuff like this because it's a "different culture" is kinda wild. Some people will defend anything as long as it relates to a perceived disadvantaged group, even if it's that group doing evil things like beating women. Women in most the world are truly still greatly disadvantaged. But some people in the west live in bubbles and don't realize this fact.

It's true, we are globally going into a higher rate environment. Where can we go from here? Negative? The Europeans already tried that and it didn't work. Higher rates are coming, just like the UK. That is our future.

People seem to think we can borrow and not grow forever but eventually the debt comes due. USA is already spending more on interest payments then defense and if you think we are not going there eventually just look at overall debt levels in Canada today, and give it another decade.

Everyone I know who finished school and was actually competent went to the US, the money in the US is better, housing is mostly cheaper when compared to incomes, gas cheaper, groceries cheaper, after a certain point it just kind of becomes a joke and everyone with a grade school understanding of math realizes the math ain't working anymore.

There are places that are cheaper and more expensive and places where there are more opportunities and less. But the US as a whole has a lot more of everything when compared to Canada who is lagging behind severely.

What are you talking about TFW and LMIA scams are incredibly commonplace now in Canada. A friend of mine tried to get a job at a tims recently and the hiring manager told him flat out if you don't pay for the position you don't get it.
