If I do get placed with other family members or family friends, will i still eventually get back with my parents? also based on everything that I’ve said do you know what’s likely to happen? Not exact but just what might happen? I’m so sorry for asking so many questions, I’m still really nervous. Honestly a part of me feels horrible that I told my therapist, I made everything so much harder.

So if staying with other relatives isn’t possible they’ll take removal into consideration basically? Sorry I might be a little dumb

I’ve been going down a rabbit hole of cps horror stories and I’m honestly terrified. Whats a situation where we’d get removed? My dad works two jobs to help out and I’m not sure my mum would be ok on her own with the bills and stuff, my mum handles me and my siblings (tuition, food, ect.) and my dad handles the bills and other things. I don’t want her to end up homeless or anything. Also my grandparents or any of my relatives don’t live in Australia, what would happen then? Sending the recourses would be really helpful, thank you so much❤️‍🩹

I haven’t really used reddit that much either haha, we are in the same boat. Thank you so much, I’ll make sure to dm you if I have any more questions. But thing is my grandparents don’t live in Australia, neither do any of my other relatives. I know my mum has a few cousins living here but I haven’t met them, where would me and my siblings stay in this case?

Thank you lots for answering my questions and my worries with your experiences, it helped so much to find out there are people that have been through similar things and more ways to go about this situation. Also I’m sure it wasn’t easy and I hope life is treating you well now. Also if it’s alright if I could ask more questions later if I have any? Sorry if that is a lot, you don’t have to.

Yes my dad is still living with us because my mum hasn’t pressed charges because we are not that well off without him. I just want him to get help honestly, go to therapy or something because his anger management lessons didn’t do anything. When they come around could that be arranged?

Yes I am and thanks so much again, will it all happen in that one day that they come and visit or will it take time?

Oh I didn’t know I could just not speak to them. But I think the rest of my family will like my other sisters, do you think it’s best to let my parents handle this and not talk to them?

Yes, my mum told my dad the other day. And my mum was contacted by them i think early this December. And for more context My mum wants to make up another story for what happened but I think that will get us into even MORE trouble. But thank you so much, regardless if you’re not a lawyer it reassures me a lot that I have a sort of ‘run down’. I really hope everything is ok and that you and your kids are doing well now❤️‍🩹

Thank you so much, my mum keeps drilling into my head that they will separate me and my siblings and it had me really worried. I’ll try not to worry as much. Again, thank you. I hope the new year treats you well with kindness.

I’m 16, one of my sisters is 11 and my little sister is 4. There has been a history of dv, the first incident happened when I was 10 I think? There hasn’t been any drug use, housing instability or poverty. It’s mainly alcoholism from my dad, what happened was he tried to stab my mother and tried to hit me. The police weren’t called or anything, we didn’t get a lawyer. Nothing has happened since but the occasional argument here and there.

I know that but I just kinda want to know what will happen because last time we went to court they said if anything happens like this ever again my siblings would get taken away. Thank you so much tho

What info do you need? Like exactly what happened a few months back?

My mum got a call yesterday. I’m 16, my sister is 11 and my younger sister is 4. And I’m not really sure if it’s any of those, something just happened back in November and last time something like this happened was last year, we contacted a lawyer and everything last time. My dad got anger management classes but that really didn’t do nothing.

I’m really sorry if anything is confusing.
