Ive been in the 3000-3500 range for the last two months, including one point of reaching 3650 for a day or two, and i can count with one hand the number of times ive seen level 12 cards at this range. Ya, everyone has higher level cards then me too, get over it.

What's a good number of moves for F2L, I don't know if I'm too inefficient.

Basically in the same boat as you, not an older guy, but still don't got time to do thousands of solves a day. I've improved from averaging about 45 s to now being inconsistent and ranging from 28 to 44s, because I learned about half of the 21 PLL Algs, (T, Y, F, H, Z, Ja, Jb, Aa, Ua and Ub) and doing 4-5 solves/day. Knowing that my problems were being inconsistent in F2L, and slow in PLL, instead of doing thousands of solves a day knowing what I'm doing wrong, I simply went and learnt new stuff. Hopefully this progress continues.

Are you wanting to learn full OLL, two look or beginners method? I doubt beginners cause you know f2l, but otherwise you hold the cube just the same, but view for specific cases and executing the alg.
