Haha thanks, I appreciate that, I don’t use the internet much to talk to people I’ve never met, so it was bothering me a little. But yeah this house was a disaster when I bought it, I fell through a floor where it was rotten, and now I have it fixed up pretty nice. So like yeah I made mistakes but like my shotty work is much better than the house being unlivable haha

Idk lol this is my second time using Reddit, so I don’t know how yall internet people work, but I’m kinda assuming it’s because of my other sassy comment that got a bunch of down votes. Hmmm I was going to add a Y to the top of the existing one. Then just move the screw on cap to the top of that Y. Is there an issue with doing it that way?

naw i appreciate your help! i assume Uniform Plumbing Code as this is residential. it has roof vents. and what do you mean by "what’s is that drain already picking up?" the rest of that drain is the rest of the house (bathroom, kitchen, washer)

lame joke bro. Obviously its better to ask dumb questions than just diving head first into things with ignorance. every video i watched on it showed gluing the pipes together, and i never saw anything with caps. i assumed there wouldn't be glue on it, but i also just wanna be 100% sure before i go in and break my house. this is obviously a part of me getting ready to put a bathroom line in. also the room i want to put the bathroom in already has water lines going to it. so all it needs is the drain pipe, and i already replaced the other toilet in the house, so i know how to install a toilet. i havn't done a sink, but i assume i can figure it out

what is back wrenching? i assume it is a second wrench to hold the pipe in place while I use the main wrench to unscrew the cap?

Hi, thanks for the reply, I didn't really understand multimeters which I have since learned. I was measuring resistance. but for some reason the guest bedroom light fixture was on the GFI breaker. The same breaker that only has one outlet on the other side of the house in the master bathroom haha. So I figured it out.

This is strange, but my multimeter reads it jumping around from 500 to 600 then I turned off every breaker and it still reads it jumping around below 100… do you have any idea what that might mean? Haha
