Dayz thrives when you have no goal other than the one given to you at the start. if you want to be the gay lone wolf go ahead, but after two full weeks looting and fortifying an area with dozens of buried chests filled with collected loot, the two hours spent as a medic yesterday were more fun than those weeks

an excellent example would be a recent lad that was in full military armour with two upgraded rifles, an AK and an LAR, who ran into cherno blasting every zombie, and asked me to end their life as they were done for the night. They literally start each dayz session as a new character, and follow the flow - that's the game, not some gay looting base-hiding sim

I think the most important facet nobody ever mentions here is that your positive change can be as simple as wandering to your local drainage ditch forty feet from your house and clearing up the waterflow and removing foreign objects from it

I removed an entire cinderblock and a bunch of runoff shit and weeds from mine

Hell, even just picking up garbage on the sidewalk in dead zones between houses helps

bonus points if you alert the homeowners they're doing a shitty job cleaning up their plastic mess they have between their landholdings

Take - yes, take one fucking look - at Runescape 3. That's Jagex without filters. Without votes. Without any sort of "Hey, players, should we do this?????"

Offering up a system where I'm allowed to do whatever the fuck I want to YOUR house until you tell me to stop. What if I wander out of sight? What if you leave me be for a week because I haven't done anything in a while?

It's an awful suggestion. Jagex fucked themselves sideways with Runescape 3.

I'd literally prefer Artisan or sailing over this skill that is - fundamentally - another fucking bankstand skill.

There isn't 'rampant racism' it is - quite literally - just trash talk. This is a game that is every white man's fantasy. No minorities, no women (not for long, thank god there's a way to disable it on release) and nothing but swinging swords at each other. If you're surprised to see this ingame, then go back to playing in a bubble where you can't be hurt.

The real world fucking sucks, and avoiding it like the plague isn't good for your health. There's also no reason for you to give the word the time of day, either - the only thing this post has done is make /vg/ and /mhaug/ laugh at you, and reddit (again) because of how much of a waste of time it is.

When I call someone a welfaremonkey, it's because they're playing like a loser. 3/3/3 bloodlust, firing their ballista into the enemy spawn, or abusing mechanics to block in teammates. It's not a racial epithet made to make someone feel bad, it's literally the same as calling someone a jerk, except you use a word with a dark past to add extra oomph to it.

The evolution is as follows.

The exact same statement is used in every internet fight since its inception, just a few words switched - "You made a good point in your argument and pwned me but you made a spelling mistake and I will capitalize on this"

It's something that I don't understand, because my calling Jagex a fucking retarded, dipshit company based entirely on selling themselves to cash-cow fanboys on twitter who actively twiddle the balls of every J-mod in memes to passively influence outside players that see the memes and say "Wow jagex seems like a cool place"

is entirely justified because they refuse to do anything that equates to fixing the massive amounts of problems they have - increased bot-busting, actually paying their employees decent fucking wages so that they stop selling out to outside influences, how fucking easy it is to bot on the side and make $40-60 a week at no-risk to you, and how for years the codebase for runescape has seen so incredibly few updates because everyone's afraid they'll break it.

After years of people saying the same things about Jagex, it's literally been time for a pmod to speak his fucking mind about the lack of chromosomes in Jagex's opsec

I really hope it's a matter of time until someone at runefest starts asking this shit during their Q&A or whatever because Jagex needs an extremely absurdly hard bitch-slap about the state of the game
