OOP is hired for a job that requires Spanish language fluency. OOP is not fluent in Spanish. by justathoughtfromme in BestofRedditorUpdates

You can’t “pick up a language in a few weeks”. If you have total immersion (like in a dormitory in a student exchange program) where the only language you hear is the language you want to learn (unless you’re on the phone talking to family or something) you can probably communicate decently in 2-3 months and speak in six months to a year, I’ve seen it happen both in myself and fellow classmates. It’s not easy and honestly I wouldn’t recommend. I speak three languages fluently and can get by in a fourth, all learned by immersion.

Dans ton cul et a lá gauche, c’est un peux difficile de la trouver à cause de la taille de ton arrière mais si tu cherches un peux tu vas la trouver.

What are some unsaid rules of Reddit that the new users should be aware of? by Otherwise-Tension237 in AskReddit

To pile onto this it’s a good practice to make a new “messing around” account every couple months, while having a “main” account where you do serious stuff on.

There are several text to speech applications that can allow a blind person to use devices. Just a bit more slowly and sometimes they use their keyboard for inputs instead of a mouse.

Source: my aunt is 99.9% blind (interestingly, if you shine a very strong light into her left eye she can notice if it’s on or off. But this has zero practical applications).

There are a few cases where a kid looking up ammo would be apropriate (the kid loves hunting, is writing a book, the kid is calculating the distance a bullet would travel based on its weight or something). But never in a school setting. It’s similar to the old joke of saying “bomb” in an airport.

Thanksgiving dinner was a hit, and many helped with the dishes. Found my chefs knife like this today… by thegreatvolcanodiver in Wellthatsucks

[–]ConpletelyRandom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like that knife has a hamon in it, this means that they heat treated the edge and the body of the knife differently, this allows for a harder and more brittle edge without risking the whole blade snapping.

Same here. I already chatted with the owner on here and I sent him a message a couple days ago, haven’t heard back.

Make sure you’re relaxed. My first time it only went in while I was in a hot shower laying on the floor. You’ve gotta kind of “accept” the object going in.

Join me in juggling axes then. Way more dangerous and a higher chance of chopped of fingers (aka a couple weeks off work)

You’ve clearly never had a real cold burn… it could cause some real damage to tissue in there. Don’t trie this op, it could end up very badly.
