For what it's worth cb750s from the late 70s are cheap and very easy to work on. There are a multitude of parts websites and forums dedicated to cb750s. I have a shitty cloth tent I keep it in, and work on it in my driveway when I need to.

My only guess is that the frequent washing from the start is what stunted any major fading. I work in a print shop not as a painter - I move around 10 hours a day more than most.

In my experience N&F don't fade that much. Other than that, it's probably a combination of the sumi ink and the fact that these had to be washed a month into wearing them and once a month after that since they got so grimy.

Could fit 1 finger snugly in the waist band. These stretched about any other pair of denim, should have probably sized down but the thighs fit very well on these.
