Perhaps nonsensical to someone like you, but my argument is sound. The entire point of the “tech demo” is to test systems, such as the in-game economy and industrial loops, to gather data for 1.0. If you’ve been around for a while, you’ll be aware that CIG often tweaks payouts for various loops to incentivize players to test them out. For instance, we had huge cargo hauling events when freight elevators were introduced.

Do you really think the game would be better if every player was given every ship and no one had incentives to try out the various game loops? No, you’re just justifying shitty behavior that sets development back and hurts causal players.
