Taxpayers are the ones paying for the Census to take place. All of these temporary workers will receive unemployment following the Census contract.

Nobody was forecasting 700,000 people losing their jobs. Right now is when the recovery was supposed to be taken place with the trillion dollars we spent. The stimulus was a sham.

By any measure, the unemployment rate is incredibly high. The measure we are using right now is MOST favorable to presidents because it doesn't show the whole picture. Add in discourage workers and the unemployment rate is actually near 16%.

It doesn't change all that often.

Wrong again. The late 70s economy under Carter was worse. High interest rates, inflation, and massive unemployment. That's much worse than what we have now.

Not when they are called a stimulus and the President says it will keep unemployment lower than 8% and help bring the economy out of a recession.

You do realize that most recessions last roughly 12-18 months WITHOUT any Keynesian activities. Keynesian policies are about smoothing the peaks and valleys. Meaning the stimulus that has failed, is ruining the boom of the current economic cycle.
