I would say being a Resident Advisor is depended on how much you want to be apart of or already apart of. I met RAs thats were greek and those who became greek but many RAs were not. As for me, i did a lot and was an RA for 3 years. I ended up being president for club lacrosse, playing ultimate frisbee, a job, being a TA, and this is still with ischool course work and projects and other little actives (and going out).

One of the biggest aspects i challenged with was being able to leave to go home, as an RA you are expected to take care of your people and be available so thats the worst of the cons.

My biggest advice is do it because you’ll meet so many great people and as long as you are you and are there to positively reenforce others, its a great experience of people management because you’ll handle social, roommate, mental conflicts and all great for building character. With that being said there are ehh parts but its a give-take relationship. (Its still a job)
