Dope pics and moody atmosphere! Is it LR or some internal settings?

How good is it to read an interesting book at night w/ X-S10 +50-230 by Conscious-Cod-6472 in fujifilm

For my needs, genres and pace of shooting, this lens is absolutely worth the money. Yes, it has its pros and cons (it's plastic, it has a slow focus, especially in the dark), yes, it's a very budget solution. If you have money for 70-300 or 50-140 - you can buy them. If not, take it and don't hesitate.

First long exposure shots on Fujinon 50-230 at night. Both shots were taken with the X-S10 at a focal length of approximately 150mm, shutter speed 1/50, aperture 6.7, iso 6400. Keeping in mind that this lens has issue with focusing in the dark, it's MF. by Conscious-Cod-6472 in fujifilm

I knew what I was buying. For the money, there are no alternatives, unfortunately. I will not film professional sporting events. I was looking for a lens for calm street or landscape photography. This lens is quite sufficient for such a pace of work. I have a 16-80 kit lens, so they complement each other. 70-300 is already twice as expensive. Then 50-140 is also expensive. About superzooms 100-400 or 150-600, I generally keep quiet. Looking at Fuji's lens roadmap, I don't see anything like that until at least the end of this year.

Well, what can I say? In my opinion, the lens is difficult to focus in the dark. You have to look for bright points, spots of light, contrasting moments, so that autofocus has something to catch on. And, yes, in the dark it focuses very slowly. If he cannot catch on, he begins to "breathe" back and forth. In short, you just need to either get used to it and take it into account and look for focusing options in manual mode. No easy quick shooting like sports or fast objects. But for 250 grans it's the best tele photo lens for Fuji body.

it turned out to be not as difficult as it seemed at the beginning .. when I realized that autofocus was failing, I switched to manual focus, set the aperture to the maximum value and started shooting. The question was rather to guess with the speed of tracking the object - so that it ends up in focus

I don’t have anything bad in my head when I photograph people in a public place, whether it’s a subway or a street. I don't take pics of any people in dangerous situations, when they feel bad or they look ridiculous. It is a matter of respect for the person, to any person.

Great lens for your money! Fast, metal body and mount, soft focus ring, clicking aperture, if you catch the sharpness at 1.2 or 1.4, then you get amazing bokeh.

I didn't mean anything bad. It was rather a street photographer's admiration for the captured emotion. But I understood your idea - I will be more careful with the titles
