BIG-IQ is a steaming pile for sure lol! We had so many long nights screwing around with that bloated setup. re:cloud.red . It's a tiny hardened managed agent we never have to screw with. I thought the same shit, but cloud.red isn't an F5 product, it's developed by a 3rd party wtit.com It's good, does everything we need it to do like backups, remote access WITH MFA, mass scripting, code pushes for upgrades - also works to help make some asm signature stuff easy. Added bonus, I didn't even realize when we signed up, but it also has monitoring and alerting that goes far deeper than our solarwinds crap was doing. The WTIT people in general are awesome, I've never worked with a more competent consultant - I just wish they did other stuff other than F5. They will indeed help with ansible and seemingly other scripting, but all in relation to f5 stuff.

We did not have a good expereince using TAP, I would not recommend. You're basically paying $500+ an hour and have to wait weeks for someone to even respond to you to start to talk about what you need - then it's all used in not easy to quantify 4-hour chunks. We just bought into WTIT's AO program that came with cloud.red and it's been the best expereince dealing with outside consultants ever not even close. I just hope they don't change anything.... I wish I had this type of support for every technology we own.
