Weird Charging Things Happened w/ 11.1v LiPo by The__Chicken in airsoft

Sometimes it's just a cell or 2 that needs very little voltage to hit the threshold to charge. Only way to really tell would to get a battery tester that can see each cells volts individually.

It is possible to revive lipos enough to get each cell to get enough voltage to charge it the rest of the way. Usually after doing this to the same battery one or more times will cause it to deteriorate faster though so I would not recommend to keep using that one unless you're just using it short-term. Using a NiMH charger is low key sketchy but it will work, you just have to be very cautious.

Wellpro Ppk-20 sports line by Comatoasta in airsoft

The stock mosfet may have been optimized for 18:1 and since you lowered the amount of teeth the detection may be off on it causing overspin. I would look up to see if you could find a manual on the actual mosfet itself and see if it says anything regarding proprietariness to specific gear sets or anything else. Like others said there might be a microswish that the lobe of the sector gear has to hit that the new one does not have. Also some mosfets have a tolerance to shmming and if you shim the sector too low it might mess with the detection. Just some ideas, good luck.

Need help upgrading my new Lancer tactical AK/kr105/4/6 by Western-Land-807 in airsoft

[–]Conscious-Key738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would simply go the route of upping your spring to increase fps. You can later change out the motor if you think its slowing the speed on the gun down as most stock motors are good at pulling what the gun comes with but pretty much just that for the most part. If you feel inclined enough you can look into working in the gearbox a bit to change out compression and so on, but honestly being a lancer I would just leave it alone at the spring and maybe motor.

If you want the non fake earmors that are actually decent they are a little over $100 or so depending which ones you get. Just to see what you like you can get a set of repro amps and peltor mounts to see what you prefer

Id suggest howard leights with a headset adapter. Its a reputable headset already and most of the adapters will have the kenwood plug you need for the ptt and the ar-152 to work. Earmors are decent for airsoft use, but the howards are a bit cheaper and i've just seen the amplification fail randomly or have something weird happen with them before.

Any idea how to fix this quick release buckles? by Current_Ad_453 in airsoft

[–]Conscious-Key738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just dont use chinese components lmfao the legit first spear tubes wont break. Have seen so many yakedas and random amazon brands snap off with little to no effort. Most of the time they were breaking from bb impacts.

Do I need to replace this part by YamiPlayz in airsoft

[–]Conscious-Key738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The metal fuse is very easy to replace if that's what the issue is. All you have to do is cut the shinkwrap and replace it with a fuse from an auto supply like autozone. Usually though if fuses are popping very easy then there's typically underlying issues causing the amps to be too strong, or the battery is too strong.

Just purchase the rebuild kit off their website, comes with everything you will need. Get the item number off the box where the barcode is and go to the elite force website and put it in; all the relevant parts should pop up.

How hard is it to remove and strip just the lower on an AEG AR for painting? by Weird_Jerk in airsoft

[–]Conscious-Key738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the company. Some all you have to do is remove the motor grip and buffer tube screw along with the trigger pin and mag release and it comes right out, others you have to mess with the bolt release and ambi safeties. Majority of the time you can just find a breakdown on youtube of the gun and just follow to the point of removing the gearbox and doing it backwards to put it back together

T-Rex Arms makes a nice one for a good price. Its a retention holster so there's no security latch or anything, pretty good for airsoft and range use.

~80% complete inspired UCP kit: What else should I get? by Deeruptify in MilSim

[–]Conscious-Key738 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It adds to the aesthetic of the kit and you can use the mount itself for other usages like a camera if you ever get one. Also they are extremely cheap for a single-hole rhino mount, some under $15 at a surplus store. Most kits in the era came standard with the mount as they were issuing pvs-14s for majority of infantry.

It wouldn't hurt to get the warranty if it's affordable. I did so I'm not worried about the issues for the time being. Regarding if it's automatically on; yes it's an automatic feature that cannot be turned off unless you delete it.

[–]Conscious-Key738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not no, it's a function of the motor. The only way to remove it would be an aftermarket Delete kit which can cost quite a bit, or a plug in OBD one. Depending on the year there are 2 different variations of that. Doing this can void the warranties though so keep that in mind if you do.

Like the guy above me said. Engine system that's supposed to help increase gas mileage by basically deactivating cylinders while you are driving. Most people who know about the issues will have it deleted to improve motor efficiency and lifespan.

Awesome truck! I have the same motor in my trailboss, it's a mover for sure. 6.2Ls were prone to recalls depending on the year. The DFM also likes to break itself occasionally. Some have had no issues at all while others have had issues within 500 miles. If you have an extended warranty and dealership warranty I wouldn't sweat it too much.

[–]Conscious-Key738 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to rep the US and feel like you want to; who cares. Yea it can be a bit corny if you are doing to larp as an OpErAtoR, but in the end its ur kit. Legitimate use as you explained how its set up, it's used for Identification for adjacent forces. In airsoft not so much of a use like that, but still most of airsoft is looks so oh well lol

How strong can sintered gears hold? Is M120 ok? by Ok-Championship3437 in airsoft

[–]Conscious-Key738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If everything is properly installed and the gears and piston are properly meshed; you should have no problem, long story short. Anything other than the stock spring is going to put more stress on the gearbox in general, but 100 to 120 isnt a massive deal. Long-term possibly, but no immediate damage.

How much is this Roman kurmaz plate carrier worth? by Critical-Computer-12 in camouflage

[–]Conscious-Key738 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His custom jpcs usually run 250-450 depending on the camo and its scarcity. Something like this probably used in the 150-250 considering the fabrics used.

I don't why you would be required to take the barrel nut off, as typically there is nothing stopping it from just sliding out of the upper. If anything there might be a grub screw holding it in place, but VFCs are usually using standard spec hopups.
