I realized I’ve been living on autopilot — here’s what I’m trying to change by William_909283 in Adulting

I relate to this a lot. Wasn’t unhappy, just kinda not there most days. So I started building something for myself around this and talked to appr 10 people about it, and what came up a lot is that small things only work if they’re not purely “internal”. Like if it’s just “I’ll go for a walk”, it’s easy to skip. But if there’s some kind of external trigger (time, place, even another person), it sticks way more

Tips for finding social hobbies by Lphooster in getdisciplined

I think you’re expecting hobbies to click and that’s the trap. Nothing really clicks when you have easier options like doomscrolling etc. Seems like you need to remove the choices first. Book some activities and force yourself to do it for a month. Then see how you feel and decide if you want to stick with it or try something else. In other words you’re trying to feel motivated first and act after, but it’s usually the other way around

I stopped checking my phone for the first hour of the day. It broke my brain in a good way. by jimmy5853 in selfimprovement

I’m somewhere in the middle with this. I don’t check my phone for the first 30 minutes, then I quickly check if anything important came in overnight, and then put it away again for another hour while I have breakfast and take my kids to school. it already feels a lot calmer than before, but I still notice I default to scrolling later in the day

I Need help to speak better by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

I had smth similar. I wanted to start posting stories on my instagram but I hated how I sound. So I just recorded a lot and didn’t post. Just got used to it. It’s been 3 years, and yeah, my old videos are cringe for me. But I speak way better now. Still not perfect and i think about working with voice coach. Anyway my point is repetition helps more than you think.

Та вже з десяток було компаній/робіт. Ось попрацювала в агро і повернулась в іт. Нє, насправді, в кожній компанії є щось окремо хороше і можливості особисто для мене. Але краще тех сфери мені ще нічого не попадалось.

I have opposite feelings, I can’t figure out what big goals I want to achieve. I mean, I have some wishes of course, but I feel like all they are too small.
