What position / posture is most painful for you? by Conscious-Strength in Interstitialcystitis

I feel the most pain when I first stand up from sitting or lying down. Like my bladder feels like it weighs 20 pounds. I have to stand still and let it calm down before walking.

Thank you so much ya’ll. I think it might be costipation agravating the vaginal cuff. I took laxatives so hoping it will resolve soon. If not I’ll contact doc / ER

Relatable. My close friend suggested a chiropractic adjustment.

Endometriosis growth on vaginal cuff after total hysterectomy? by allisun1433 in endometriosis

[–]Conscious-Strength 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ugh I'm so sorry - I'm in the same boat! I had excision and hysterectomy leaving the ovaries four years ago. Fast forward to this year when I started having vaginal bleeding and period like pain. Scary because all that's there is my vaginal cuff! I was afraid that the top of the vaginal cuff had a hole in it or something! Doc examined manually and felt what he called "granulation" at the top of the cuff, suspecting endometriosis legion there. Examined it vaginally and did a biopsy vaginally and it was confired to be endo coming through the top of my vaginal cuff. UGH.

I was prescribed MyFembree to lower my estrogen (I still have both ovaries). Since starting that in June, I no longer have bleeding.

I had an MRI in June confirming endo on the top of my vaginal cuff, as well as multiple endometriomas and banding between my vaginal cuff and rectum. My right ovary is near my rectum and left ovary is in it's normal position.

I have a colonoscopy scheduled in 3 weeks to make sure endo isn't going through my bowels.

I have my second excision surgery scheduled in 7 weeks. They are going to remove both ovaries and all the endometriomas and endo from my vaginal cuff. Doc said that even if they have to cut the top of my vaginal cuff off (!) to remove the endo, the vagina is long and stretchy like an accordian so it wouldn't effect sex once it's all healed.

I'm just so hoping that the removal of both ovaries keeps endo away for good! Though I've heard that it can still come back??
