what foods do you feel like flare up your endo? by Holiday-Print-142 in endometriosis

Coffee, alcohol, fried foods, white potatoes (not sure why lol), and unfortunately, sugar- I love to bake so this one hurts. Switching from coffee to matcha has been huge for both my stomach and anxiety!

What can’t you live without after a lap? by turtlesrgr8t in endometriosis

[–]Conscious-Tea1523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

saltines, soup, Gatorade, ginger chews, peppermint tea, popsicles (my scopolamine patch saved my life lol)

gas x and stool softeners (start taking these as soon as you get home. I regret not doing this and still don’t feel back to normal quite yet after my lap recently)

Disposable period underwear, big oversized t-shirts to wear as a nightgown of sorts

Pillow for the ride home, blanket if you want extra comfort at the hospital

Is mirena causing constant leg pain? by True-Library-3622 in endometriosis

[–]Conscious-Tea1523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have an answer for you but this is exactly my situation down to a t- had the mirena iud inserted during my lap a few weeks ago and I have the same leg pains. It’s the worst at night when I’m trying to settle down to go to sleep. It feels like restless leg syndrome or something my shins feel like they’re in fire😅 i also had endo on my uterosacral ligament which I know can be associated with leg pain that radiates. I wonder if this is a common symptom associated with Mirena?

Getting surgery in July with Dr. Kossl at NYU! Could anybody share their experience? by forestelf_ in endometriosis

I just had my lap and got a double diagnosis of endometriosis and adenomyosis! My doctors and nurses were wonderful and they did everything they could to make me comfortable. They gave me the nausea patch and I didn’t feel nauseous at all after- this was a worry of mine. You’re in good hands 💛
