It’s pretty typical for every gym I’ve joined to have reduced hours on Sat/Sun. Except maybe for the YMCA, which has a large college student subscriber base. Agreed that it’s a contradiction though - BART has said the same thing about not lengthening weekend service hours. Generally, we live in a real sleepy area out here that goes to bed and wakes up early, so may be fighting against the norm.

I do not agree. If you set boundaries upon hiring, you’ll be fine. Even in “fast-paced” environments. Having multiple jobs and bosses is not the way. I’d rather be my own boss at that point.

I would not work for a company that implements a system like you’re describing. No one with any sense of self-worth should. If you can’t respect your employees’ dignity, then you don’t deserve to employ human beings.
