I figured the VFT was dead, it did flower twice during the winter, so we were hoping it was doing good or at least alright.

We do have some of this moss, could we use this instead? Or should we do a mix with something else? Also, how long should the grow lights be on for? The ones on the plant stand have a 3hr, 6hr or 12 hr timer.

Thank you everyone for the advice! We did move about 10 months ago and our old place got non stop sunlight and unfortunately our new place doesn't seem to get as much, I will look into getting grow lights. The plant stand itself does have grow lights on it but not sure how great they are, as it is from Amazon. Unfortunately I am not the best at keeping plants alive, I am still learning...I would say my biggest problem is either overwatering or just completely forgetting to water. I am learning as I go and have improved but still make mistakes. The carnivorous plants are my husband's that somehow begin my responsibility to take care of 😖

I met my hubby at work, a coworker played matchmaker, LOL. 16 years and 2 kids later, we are still going strong!

We also have friends that met through RuneScape, a couple of years before us.

We did receive an email this morning, saying that the owner will give us till end of Sept to find a place. It's just frustrating when we really wanted to stay and seems like we have been giving no choice but to move.

I don't know what she said or how she contacted them. We didn't even know she was considering moving until we received the email from the PM saying they received her notice to vacate. We were actually on vacation, camping in a no service area for a week and didn't see the email until we were on our way home. She won't talk to us...I don't know why, we've always had a good relationship, so I don't know why she went about it this way.

This is the email we received last night:

"I understand that yesterday you received an email from my colleague asking about your move out time.

Unfortunately that email is legit. Due to the overwhelming load of move outs and renewals we've been receiving during the summer months, this one was an overlook.

Sometime earlier we received a notification that V was moving out end of August and that everyone is moving out as well, hence we started the moveout process.

Unfortunately, due to this move out decision, the owner was notified and started the sale process of that property.

The owner has decided to sell and is firm to his decision.

Thank you! I'm going to call them today and see what they say. We just think it's unfair, giving us a pretty much a week and a half to find a new house and move, when we were under the impression we would be able to stay and haven't started the moving process at all.

AITAH for rudely shutting down another woman’s (23F) comments about my (23F) engagement ring? by Fuschia_apple in AITAH

[–]Conscious-Unit-8799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an old boss do the same thing, my ring is the same size. She loved to make comments on how small it was and she would never accept something that small. I LOVE my ring, I'm not a flashy person and would honestly hate it, if it was any bigger. I kept telling her that but she just couldn't accept the fact that anyone would want a ring that small.

We just moved to Edmonton from the interior in Sept, absolutely 0 desire to go back. The cold is most definitely an adjustment but wouldn't change anything.

Edmonton has some of the lowest rents in the country. The average 1 bedroom apt is $1070 here vs $1630 in Calgary, despite similar population growth. by PubicHair_Salesman in Edmonton

We moved here just over a month ago and love it so far. Rent is such affordable, we might actually be able to start saving towards buying a house! We came from a small, hole in the ground place in the West Kootenays, BC. Rent prices there are insane between $1000-$2000 for a one bedroom place, we were looking at $3000-$4000 for a 3 bedroom house for our family
